It's specifically designed to securely hold your Ring Elite Doorbell on an exterior wall or other flat surface *without* needing to cut a hole for a recessed box. This functional and durable box provides the same standard "gang box" mounting interface your Ring Elite is designed for.

- Doorbell Mounting Interface: Features hole spacing identical to a standard single-gang electrical box, for perfect Ring Elite attachment.

Installing Your Ring Elite Surface Mount Box

Tools & Prep: Gather: Drill, appropriate screwdrivers/bits (for wall screws & Ring Elite screws), level, wall anchors (if needed), your Ring Elite and its Ethernet cable.
Turn OFF power to the Ethernet port (PoE source) at your switch or injector!
- Prepare Wiring: Ensure your Ethernet cable is routed to the desired mounting location on the flat surface.

Position & Mount Box to Wall: Pass the Ethernet cable through the large rear opening of the **Surface Mount Box**. Position the box on the wall, ensuring it's level. Securely attach the box to the wall using appropriate screws and anchors for your wall type (wall mounting screws/anchors NOT included) through the pre-drilled holes on the back of the box.
Ensure box is firmly secured and flush against the wall.

Connect & Mount Ring Elite: Connect the Ethernet cable to your Ring Elite doorbell. Align the Ring Elite with the gang-box-spaced mounting holes on the front of the Surface Mount Box. Secure the Ring Elite to the box using the machine screws typically provided **with your Ring Elite** for gang box installation, or use compatible screws if provided with this surface mount.
Do not overtighten screws. Ensure a snug fit.
- Final Check & Power On: Ensure doorbell is securely attached. Restore power to the Ethernet port. Test your Ring Elite.
