Maximum Door Clearance for Your Nest Doorbell Wired (2nd Gen)!

Is your Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen) mounted on trim recessed behind brick? Is your door or storm door swing path extremely close? This **Full Offset Brick Extension Mount** provides the maximum possible sideways clearance for these tight situations!

It extends your Nest doorbell forward past the brick (select the required length) and uses our **Full Offset** design to shift the doorbell entirely sideways over the brick face, creating essential space next to your door frame. Installs on narrow trim (>= 9/16" wide) without drilling into masonry.

How it Works: Full Offset (Maximum Sideways Shift)

This mount utilizes our unique FULL OFFSET geometry. The Nest Doorbell attaches so its door-facing edge aligns flush with the side edge of the narrow 9/16" mount base. This maximizes the horizontal shift over adjacent brick compared to our Standard Offset mounts.

This is the perfect solution when maximum clearance from a door swing or storm door is critical.

This mount positions the doorbell over or in front of the brick face.

 

Base Dimensions & Mounting: The extension base is 9/16 inches wide (requires >= 9/16" surface). Standard mounting hole spacing is 2.5 inches (center-to-center). Ensure solid mounting on trim. Wall-mounting screws not included.

Angled Trim? If your trim is angled, add our Angle Shims (sold separately) for a perpendicular installation.

CRITICAL: Measure & Select Your Extension Length!

Choose the correct length to clear your brickwork or storm door. Measure carefully:

  • Measure the exact distance straight out from the surface where the mount base will attach (your trim) to the outermost face of your brick or obstacle.
  • Order THIS measurement as your required Extension Length. (Do NOT subtract doorbell thickness for offset mounts).

How to Install Your Full Offset Extension for Nest Wired (Gen 2)

This mount uses two main printed pieces: the Extension Base and the Doorbell Adapter Bracket.

  1. Tools & Prep: Gather: Drill, PH1 & PH2 Philips Screwdrivers/Bits, Level, Anchors (if needed), your Nest Doorbell's wall plate & release tool.
    Turn OFF power to doorbell wiring at the breaker!
  2. Mount Extension Base: Position the Extension Base (correct length/offset) on trim over wires (ensure Full Offset provides max clearance). Attach securely using appropriate screws (#6 size likely, use PH2) and anchors into the 2.5" spaced holes.
    Ensure base is level. Don't overtighten.
  3. Attach Doorbell Adapter Bracket: Route wires through the Doorbell Adapter Bracket (top piece for Nest Wired Gen 2). Align onto Extension Base. Attach using the four small center screws provided ( #4 screws x 5/16in Flat Head Scrws / PH1 driver).
    Use correct PH1 bit. Tighten until flush. Check for/clear debris if needed. Do NOT over-torque.
  4. Attach Nest Wall Plate: Secure the **wall plate that came WITH your Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen)** onto the Doorbell Adapter Bracket using the small screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT (typically #4 / PH1). Ensure it's oriented correctly.
    Do NOT use Nest's long wall screws here. Use correct PH1 driver.
  5. Wire & Mount Nest Doorbell: Connect wires to the Nest wall plate following Google Nest instructions. Carefully clip the Nest Doorbell onto its wall plate until it clicks securely.
  6. Final Check & Power On: Ensure doorbell is secure. Turn power back on and test. (Use Nest release tool if removal is needed).

Follow safety rules & Google Nest guidelines. Use correct anchors/screws. Correct screwdriver size prevents stripping.
