Custom 15-90° Side-Wall Swivel Mount for the Google Nest Hello (1st Gen, Wired)

Custom-Fit for the Google Nest Hello (1st Gen, Wired)

  • Custom-shaped for the Google Nest Hello (1st Gen, Wired) — the slim, tall Nest Hello wired body (2018). It seats flush without covering the 4:3 lens or the status ring.
  • Not a universal one-size mount: other doorbell brands use different body shapes and each has its own listing on our store.
  • Switching doorbells later? The base stays on the wall — grab a ~$10 Replacement Bracket for the new model.

Point the Camera at Your Doorstep, Not the Siding

The Nest Hello's tall 4:3 lens is meant to show a visitor head-to-toe with a package on the step — but only if it faces the doorstep. On a side wall or perpendicular trim, the flat factory plate points it at the siding.

This adjustable 15-90° adjustable side-wall swivel mount swings the Google Nest Hello (1st Gen, Wired) outward across a wide 15° to 90° arc so the 4:3 1600x1200 160° view lands on your visitor and the doorstep instead of the wall. Set screws lock the angle so it will not drift after the first windstorm or cold snap.

15° to 90° of Adjustable Aim

Built for real angle correction, the adjustable side-wall swivel lets you aim across a 15° to 90° arc relative to the wall — it shines above 45°. Adjust left/right and up/down, then tighten the set screws to lock it.

Hidden Wire Pass-Through

If the doorbell is hardwired (16-24V AC), the wires come out of the wall, pass through the concealed channel in the swivel, run through the front Google Nest Hello (1st Gen, Wired) bracket, and land on the doorbell terminals — nothing exposed at the joint.

Why This Mount Works

  • Custom Bracket for the Google Nest Hello (1st Gen, Wired): A pre-shaped pocket cradles the body without blocking the lens, mic, or field of view.
  • Wide 15-90° Angle: Two-axis swivel built specifically for side-wall and perpendicular installs.
  • Hidden Wire Pass-Through: An internal channel routes the low-voltage leads cleanly to the doorbell terminals.
  • Locking Set Screws: Set the angle once and it stays put — no drift in cold weather or after a firmware update.
  • Siding Compatible: Sits flat on flat surfaces or lapped siding up to 1.8 inches wide.
  • Complete Kit: Adjustable base, custom Google Nest Hello (1st Gen, Wired) bracket, and all the mounting screws you need.
  • UV-Stable PETG: Freeze-tolerant, weatherproof 3D-printed PETG made for year-round outdoor use.

Customize It

Installing It on the Google Nest Hello (1st Gen, Wired)

  1. Power first. Kill power to the doorbell circuit at the breaker before you touch the wires.
If hardwiring, confirm power is off with a multimeter before stripping wires.
  2. Grab your tools. Drill, PH2 (#6 wall screws), PH1 (#4 bracket/set/doorbell screws), a level, and anchors if you're not hitting a stud.
  3. Pick the angle before drilling. Stand where a visitor stands, picture the line from the doorbell to that spot, and rough in that angle so you don't re-drill.
  4. Mount the base. Line it up with your siding or trim and drive the #6 screws (PH2).
Pilot-drill if needed and don't overtighten.
  5. Add the swivel. Feed the wires through the center (skip if battery) and fasten the swivel to the base with the four #4 / PH1 screws.
  6. Rough-set the aim. Turn it toward the walkway inside the 15-90° range and snug one or two set screws for now.
  7. Attach the Google Nest Hello (1st Gen, Wired). Snap it on with the screws included with this mount (PH1). Do not reuse the stock back plate — our bracket replaces it.
  8. Confirm in the Google Home app, then lock. Power up, open Live View, check the framing, and tighten all set screws hand-tight.
Snug is enough — don't crank the set screws.
  9. Redraw detection zones. In the Google Home app, tighten the motion zones to the new framing so you exclude the street and the neighbor's yard.

Common Questions

Will this 15-90° mount fit my Google Nest Hello (1st Gen, Wired)?
Yes — this bracket is cut to the Google Nest Hello (1st Gen, Wired) body, so the doorbell drops into a model-specific pocket with the lens and mic clear. It does not fit other brands; each has its own listing.
What's the difference between the 15-90° and 0-35° mount?
The 15-90° version is for big side-wall corrections — when the doorbell sits on a perpendicular wall, pillar, or outside corner. The 0-35° version is for fine-tuning aim on a flat wall. If you need more than about 15° of turn, pick this one.
Can I use this on vinyl siding, Hardie board, or stucco?
Yes. The 1.8" base sits flat on most lapped siding. For vinyl siding without drilling the siding itself, add our Vinyl Siding Adapter; for fiber-cement, use our Hardie Siding Mount; for stucco, drill pilot holes and use masonry anchors.
What hardware is included?
You get the adjustable swivel base, the custom adapter bracket, locking set screws, mounting screws (#6 PH2 for the wall and #4 PH1 for the bracket and doorbell), and wall anchors. Use only the screws provided, not the doorbell's stock backplate screws.
Will it hold up outdoors, and for how long?
Yes. We print in UV-stabilized PETG (not brittle PLA), so it's freeze-tolerant and won't yellow or warp. Real-world installs are still going strong after 4+ years.
