Standard Offset is the most popular brick mount choice. It pushes the doorbell forward enough to clear storm doors, weather stripping, and most trim — without the deeper projection of Full Offset. Default 3 inch size fits the majority of installs.

Pick the right offset for your install: Use Standard Offset ($38-$120) to clear a storm door or trim. Use Full Offset ($50-$140) for maximum projection past brick edges. Use Brick Face Extension ($30-$110) if your doorbell would be recessed BEHIND the brick face and you want it flush with the brick.

  1. Prepare: Tapo D230S1 is battery-powered — no breaker shutoff needed.

  6. Secure and Finalize: Mount the Tapo D230S1 to the bracket. Reinstall cover. Open the Tapo app, check Live View, redraw motion zones to match the new mounting position.
