Is your video doorbell installed on trim that's sunk behind your beautiful brick or stone? Does this make it hard to see, reach, or get a good camera angle? Our Standard Offset Brick Extension Mount is the perfect solution for countless homeowners facing this common problem, especially when a new storm door causes interference!
This mount installs securely on your existing trim, extends your doorbell forward to clear the obstruction, and provides our standard 5/8" sideways offset – all without needing to drill into your masonry. It's designed to work with a wide variety of doorbell models (just select yours from the options!).
How it Works: Standard 5/8" Offset Extension
This mount features our widely compatible STANDARD OFFSET. The center of the doorbell mounting plate is offset approximately 5/8 inches horizontally towards the brick/siding side, relative to the center of the extension base (typically 9/16" wide).
This usually leaves about 3/8 inch of the base visible on the side closest to the door frame (depending slightly on the doorbell width). It effectively moves most doorbells partially over the adjacent brick or siding, providing good clearance and an improved viewing angle for many situations.
This mount positions the doorbell over or in front of the brick face, not flush with it.
Standard Offset (This Product) vs Full Offset:
Base Dimensions & Mounting: The standard mounting base is 9/16 inches wide (requires >= 9/16" surface). Standard mounting hole spacing on the base is 2.5 inches (center-to-center). Ensure adequate flat mounting surface on trim. Wall-mounting screws not included.
Angled Trim? If your mounting trim surface is angled and not perpendicular to the wall, add our Angle Shims (5°, 10°, 15° Options) to your order for a perfect vertical installation.
CRITICAL: Measure & Select Your Extension Length!
Choosing the correct extension length ensures the mount clears your brickwork or storm door. Measure carefully:
- Measure the exact distance straight out from the surface where the mount base will attach (your trim) to the outermost face of your brick or obstacle.
- Order THIS measurement as your required Extension Length. (Do NOT subtract doorbell thickness for offset mounts).

How to Install Your Brick Extension Mount
This mount consists of two main pieces: the Extension Base (mounts to wall) and the Doorbell Adapter Bracket (holds the doorbell).

Prepare Tools & Area: Gather: Drill, PH1 & PH2 Philips Screwdrivers/Bits, Level, Anchors (if needed for wall).
Turn OFF power at the breaker if hardwiring!

Mount Extension Base: Position the Extension Base (correct length/offset) on your trim over wires. Attach securely using appropriate screws (#6 size likely, use PH2) and anchors into the 2.5" spaced holes.
Ensure base is level. Drill pilot holes if needed. Don't overtighten.

Attach Doorbell Adapter Bracket: Route wires through the Doorbell Adapter Bracket (top piece for your selected model). Align onto Extension Base. Attach using the four small center screws provided (likely #4 screws / PH1 driver).
Use correct PH1 bit. Tighten until flush. Check for/clear any plastic debris in pilot holes. Do NOT over-torque.
- Wire Doorbell (If Applicable): Connect wires to your doorbell following its manufacturer's instructions. Tuck excess wire into base cavity.

Mount Doorbell onto Adapter Bracket: Attach your video doorbell to the **Doorbell Adapter Bracket**. The method depends on your specific doorbell model:
- Some doorbells (like Ring Gen 2 Battery, Nest Hello/Battery, Eufy Single Cam, Lorex) use their **own plastic/metal backplate**. Screw this backplate onto our Adapter Bracket using the small screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT (typically #4/PH1). Then, clip/attach your doorbell to its backplate.
- Other doorbells (like Ring Wired 2021, or models without a separate plate) may screw **directly** onto our Adapter Bracket using the screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT.
- Some Ring models (like Removable Battery Series 2/3/4/Plus/Pro, or Ring Pro/Wired Plus) attach to our Adapter Bracket using screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT, then their faceplate is secured with Ring's security screws.
Always use the correct screws provided by *us* for attaching the doorbell/its plate to *our* adapter bracket. DO NOT use the long wall-mounting screws from your doorbell manufacturer for this. - Final Check & Power On: Ensure doorbell is secure. Turn power back on (if applicable) and test.
Follow safety rules & your doorbell's guidelines. Use appropriate anchors/screws. Correct Philips bit size prevents stripping.
