This Standard Offset Brick Extension brings the doorbell forward and slightly sideways on a slim 9/16-inch base, cut to the exact depth you need. It pushes the doorbell forward and slightly to the side — the usual fix for storm-door clearance or getting the camera out of a recessed corner.

Method A — You HAVE your doorbell: The default 3-inch size fits most storm-door and standard 3-inch brick installs. Choose the size that matches your gap.
Method B — You DON'T have your doorbell yet: Choose the size matching the gap between your trim and where the doorbell needs to end up.

Installing Your Standard Offset Brick Extension on a SimpliSafe Doorbell

  1. Order the right version: Choose your SimpliSafe model and extension depth in the dropdowns.
  2. Disarm first: Before anything else, disarm SimpliSafe so the swap doesn’t count as tampering.
  3. Remove the old doorbell: Power down at the breaker, pull the doorbell off the wall and disconnect both wires.
  4. Route the wires: Thread the doorbell wires through the back of the extension so they exit at the front.
  5. Mount the extension base: Position the extension over the trim and fasten it with the included #6 wood screws (#2 Phillips).
  6. Attach the bracket: Attach your model’s bracket to the extension front using the small center screws. Use a #1 Phillips PRECISION driver.
  7. Mount the doorbell: Attach the wires to the terminals and mount the doorbell on the bracket with the screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT.
  8. Finish up: Flip the breaker on, re-arm SimpliSafe and verify the camera view in the app.
