Add-On Extension Piece for Adjustable Swivel Mounts
This is an **ADD-ON** extension piece designed to increase the mounting depth of our standard Adjustable Swivel Mounts.
- Purpose: Adds selectable forward extension (depth) while maintaining the **standard 1.8-inch width** of the swivel mount base.
- Compatibility: Installs *underneath* the base of our standard Adjustable Swivel Mounts (those with a ~1.8" wide base). Not for use with Narrow Baseplates.
- Swivel Mount is NOT included - Purchase this extension piece only if you have or are buying a compatible Swivel Mount separately and need extra depth.
- Select Extension Length: Choose the desired length for **THIS extension piece** from the dropdown menu (e.g., 1/2", 1", 1-1/2", 2").

This **Full Width Extension Piece** provides the extra depth you need.
It seamlessly integrates underneath the standard swivel mount base, extending the entire assembly forward by the length you select, without narrowing the mounting footprint.
Extension Piece Specifications
- Width: 1.8 inches (Matches standard Adjustable Swivel Mount base width).
- Extension Length Added (This Piece): User Selectable (Choose desired length, e.g., 1/2", 1", 1-1/2", 2", etc. from options).
- Wall Mounting Hole Spacing: Standard 2-5/8 inches (center-to-center) - passes through to Swivel Base.

Total Depth Example: If you choose a 1 inch extension piece:
- Total depth added = 1" (this piece) + ~1.5" (swivel mount at 0°) = ~2.5" to back of doorbell.
- Approx. Doorbell Face Position = ~2.5" + ~1" (doorbell thickness) = ~3.5" from wall.
Approximate Final Doorbell Position (Face)
Total distance from wall to doorbell face = [Selected Extension Length] + ~1.5" (Swivel) + ~1" (Doorbell Thickness).
Example: With a 1" Extension piece selected, the doorbell face will be approximately 3.5 inches from the wall.

How to Install (Extension Piece + Swivel Mount)
This extension piece fits between your wall/trim and the main base of your standard swivel mount.

Tools & Prep: Gather Swivel Mount parts, this Extension Piece, drill, PH2 screwdriver/bit, anchors (if needed), level.
Turn OFF power to doorbell wiring at the breaker!
- Align Extension & Swivel Base: Route wires first through this **Full Width Extension Piece**, then through the standard **Swivel Mount Base**. Align the mounting holes of both pieces (Extension Piece against the wall, Swivel Base directly on top).

Mount Combined Base to Wall: Position the stacked pieces on your mounting surface (>= 1.8" wide). Secure **BOTH** pieces together to the wall using the #6 x 1-1/2" screws (provided with the main Swivel Mount kit) through the aligned 2-5/8" holes. Use appropriate anchors if needed for your wall type.
Ensure alignment is correct. Use PH2 driver. Drill pilot holes if needed. Do not overtighten wall screws.

Secure Extension to Swivel Base (Optional but Recommended): Additional small screws may be provided to further secure the swivel base directly to this extension piece from underneath or through designated connection holes. Use PH1 driver if applicable.

- Continue Swivel Mount Install: Proceed with the standard installation steps for your swivel mount (attach swivel bracket, set angle, wire doorbell, attach doorbell, finalize angle) as detailed in the main swivel mount instructions.
Always follow safety rules & wiring guidelines. Use appropriate wall anchors. Correct screwdriver sizes prevent stripping. Ensure your mounting surface is at least 1.8" wide for this extension.
