The Tapo Doorbell Pro D260 is a tall doorbell — about 5.7 inches — and its stock plate wants a flat, 2.6-inch-wide surface. Door trim is rarely that. This low-profile Fixed Trim Slim/Narrow Mount gives the D260 a flat, solid 3/4-inch footing that sits flush on beveled, warped or skinny trim where the Tapo plate rocks or hangs off the edge.

The front of the base carries a bracket printed for the Tapo D260. Pick TP-Link Tapo D260 in the dropdown and that is what we print. Works with the doorbell on battery or hardwired.

Installing Your Fixed Trim Mount on a Tapo D260

  1. Confirm the model: Make sure the dropdown shows TP-Link Tapo D260 — the bracket is printed for that model only.
  2. Remove the old doorbell: Hardwired? Turn the breaker off and unhook both low-voltage wires. Battery? Just release the D260 from its Tapo bracket per the Tapo guide.
  3. Position the base: Hold the fixed base against the trim and check it with a level.
  4. Screw it down: Drive the provided #6 wall screws with a #2 Phillips screwdriver (pilot holes optional).
  5. Attach the bracket: Fasten the D260 bracket to the front of the base using the small center screws. A #1 Phillips PRECISION driver is required.
  6. Mount the doorbell: Wire the terminals if hardwired, then seat the D260 on the bracket using the screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT instead of the stock plate.
  7. Finish up: Restore power or press the power button, then confirm live view in the Tapo app.

Tools: #2 Phillips screwdriver, #1 Phillips PRECISION screwdriver, drill (optional pilot holes), level. Multimeter only if you hardwire.

Does this fit the Tapo D225 or D130?
No — each Tapo body has its own bracket. Find the other models in our Tapo collection.
Can you match the holes already in my trim?
Yes. Hole spacing is printed to order from 1-3/8 inch up to 4-1/8 inch, including slotted holes — add the hole-spacing option to your order.
Can I add an angle or more depth?
Yes. Add the horizontal angle adapter (0-90°) or the extension add-on (1/2 inch to 7 inches).
Does it matter if my D260 is on battery or hardwired?
No. The bracket is the same either way. If you hardwire, the two low-voltage wires pass through the mount to the D260 terminals. If you run on battery, nothing passes through — just leave the wire channel empty. You can still take the doorbell off to charge it with the USB-C cable.
How do I know the bracket will fit?
