Installing Your 15-90° Side-Wall Mount on the Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi

  1. Verify Wiring Voltage: Confirm your existing doorbell circuit is 12-24V AC or DC. The Reolink WiFi accepts a wider voltage range than most — but verify with a meter or your transformer label before powering up.
  2. Power Down: Turn the breaker OFF at the chime circuit. Verify with a tester at the existing doorbell wires before pulling them through the mount.
    Always confirm power is off with a tester. Two strands of doorbell wire don't always look like 12-24V AC at a glance.
  3. Pair Indoors First on 5GHz: Plug the Reolink Chime indoors and add the doorbell to the Reolink app on your bench. Connect to 5GHz Wi-Fi if available (check signal at the porch wall — if it's weak, fall back to 2.4GHz).
  4. Plan the Aim Angle: Stand where visitors approach. Visualize the angle from doorbell to that spot. 15-90° gives a wide range — commit to roughly the right angle before drilling pilot holes.
  5. Mount the Base: Pull the doorbell wires through the hole in the swivel base, position vertically on your siding/trim, secure with #6 screws (PH2 driver). Anchors as needed.
    Drill pilot holes if mounting into hard trim wood. Don't overtighten base screws.
  6. Attach the Bent-Neck Swivel Bracket: Route the wires through the swivel center, attach to the base with four #4 / PH1 screws.

  9. Aim Using Live View & Finalize Set Screws: Restore power. Open the Reolink app → Live View → tilt and pan the bent-neck through the 15-90° range until the 4:3 frame covers porch top-to-bottom and faces are centered. Fully tighten all set screws.
    Hand-tight on set screws. Over-tightening can crack the swivel joint.

5GHz tip: even if your phone connects to 5GHz, doorbells often fall back to 2.4GHz at the back wall where signal is weaker. Test 5GHz signal strength at the porch wall before committing — if it's marginal, 2.4GHz with a stronger signal beats 5GHz with a weak one. PETG is RF-transparent so the bracket itself doesn't shield the antenna.
