Adjustable 15-90° Side-Wall Mount for the Google Nest Wired Doorbell (2nd Gen & 3rd Gen)
Custom-Fit for Google Nest Wired (2nd Gen 2022 + 3rd Gen 2025)
- One bracket fits BOTH wired Nest generations — Google kept the back-mount geometry consistent between the 2nd Gen (2022) and the 3rd Gen (2025, with 2K + Gemini AI), so the same custom adapter pocket cradles both.
- Pick your generation from the variant selector above — Nest Wired Doorbell 2nd Gen (2022) or Nest Wired Doorbell 3rd Gen (2025).
- Does NOT fit: the original Nest Hello (2018), the Nest Doorbell Battery / Wireless model, or any other brand. Each older Nest body has a separate mount listing on our store.
- Mixed up between Nest models? Snap a photo of the back of your doorbell and email it to shop@doorbellmount.com — we'll confirm fit before you order.

Bent-Neck Swivel for Tough Side-Wall Geometry
Mounted your Nest Wired Doorbell on a side wall, a recessed door alcove, or a porch column — and the camera is staring at the wall instead of your visitor? This Adjustable 15-90° Side-Wall Mount uses a bent-neck dual-axis pivot to swing the doorbell outward across a wide 15° to 90° arc, so the wide-angle Nest lens (145° on Gen2, 166° on Gen3) finally points at the porch path.
Side-wall installs are the #1 reason a perfectly good Nest doorbell underperforms. Familiar Faces fires on the side of your house, package detection misses the doorstep, and the Gemini AI summaries on the 3rd Gen are useless when the wide frame catches blowing leaves instead of visitors. This mount fixes the geometry once and locks it permanently.
Wide Dual-Axis Control (15-90°) — Built for the Nest Wide-Angle Lens
Designed for significant angle correction, this mount uses a unique bent-neck swivel joint with set-screw locks. Precise aiming control across a 15° to 90° arc relative to the wall — ideal for side-facing views (excels at angles greater than 45°). Fine-tuning is possible both horizontally (left/right) and vertically (up/down). Once the angle is set, the locking set screws hold position permanently.
Note: this design is optimized for substantial side angles. If you only need a very minor (<15°) adjustment or a straight-ahead view, see our 0-35° Swivel Mount for the Nest Wired Gen2 / Gen3 instead.
Internal Wire Routing — Hidden & Protected
Existing 16-24V AC doorbell wires (or your 30VA upgraded transformer leads) enter from the wall, pass through the hidden internal channel inside the swivel joint, route through the front Nest adapter bracket, and connect directly to the doorbell terminals. No exposed wiring, no weather risk — even at extreme 90° angles. The Nest's USB-C charge port stays accessible in case you ever need to factory-reset.
Mount Dimensions & Weight
- Base Width: 1.8 inches
- Base Height: 3.1 inches
- Base Hole Spacing: 2-5/8 inches (center-to-center)
- Wall Extension at 15°: ~2.0 inches
- Wall Extension at 90°: ~3.5 inches (extends doorbell perpendicular to wall)
- Weight: ~2 oz (PETG mount only)
- (Note: This is the standard 1.8" base; narrow 3/4" baseplate option available — see Customization section.)
Key Features & Benefits
- Wide Adjustable Angle (15-90°): Significant dual-axis swivel built specifically for side-wall / perpendicular installations — the geometry the Nest stock plate doesn't cover.
- One Bracket, Two Generations: The same custom Nest pocket cradles both the 2nd Gen (2022) and the 3rd Gen (2025) bodies — no rocking, no rattle, no light gap.
- Wire Pass-Through: Hole in the swivel joint routes 16-24V AC wires neatly — no exposed wiring at the joint.
- Secure Locking Set Screws: Once you set the angle, it stays. No drift in cold snaps, no need to re-aim after Nest firmware updates or Gemini AI rollouts.
- Siding Compatible: Flat surfaces or lapped siding up to 1.8 inches wide.
- Complete Kit: Adjustable base, custom Nest Wired bracket, and all necessary mounting screws.
- Durable PETG: Sturdy 3D-printed PETG, UV-stable and freeze-tolerant for outdoor use.
- Side-Wall Problem Solver: Eliminates the "side wall view" issue so Familiar Faces and package detection actually catch what they should.
- Future-Proof Base: Base is compatible with future Google Nest doorbell adapter brackets — when Google releases the next generation, just swap the small ~$10 adapter. Find replacement brackets here.
Installing Your 15-90° Side-Wall Mount on the Nest Wired Gen2 / Gen3
-
Tools & Prep: Gather a drill, PH2 Philips (#6 base screws), PH1 Philips (#4 bracket/set/doorbell screws provided), wall anchors if needed, level, and a multimeter.
Turn OFF power at the circuit breaker first. Both Nest Wired generations need 16-24V AC, 10VA min (30VA recommended for the 3rd Gen 2K). A weak transformer (under 16V at the doorbell) causes Nest boot loops and intermittent Live View dropout.
- Plan the Aim Angle BEFORE Drilling: Stand where a visitor would stand. Visualize the angle from the doorbell location to that spot. 15-90° gives you a wide range — but committing to roughly the right angle before drilling pilot holes saves rework.
-
Mount the Base: Route existing doorbell wires through the base hole. Position vertical and attach using #6 screws (PH2 driver) with anchors as needed.
Drill pilot holes if needed. Don't overtighten base screws.
- Attach the Swivel Bracket: Route wires through the swivel joint. Align onto the base and attach using four center screws (#4 / PH1 driver).
- Set Initial Angle: Adjust the swivel within 15-90° toward the visitor approach. Lightly tighten one or two set screws (#4 / PH1 driver) — final tightening comes after Live View confirmation.
- Wire the Nest Wired Doorbell: Connect the two leads to the Nest's screw terminals — polarity doesn't matter for AC. Tuck excess wire into the bracket cavity.
-
Attach the Doorbell to the Bracket: Align the back of your Nest with the pre-shaped pocket on the custom Nest-specific bracket. Secure using the screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT (#4 / PH1 driver). DO NOT USE the screws or wedge plate that came with your Nest doorbell.
Tighten snugly, do not overtighten. Use the correct PH1 driver for provided screws.
-
Aim Using Live View & Finalize Set Screws: Restore power. Open the Google Home app → Live View. With the wide-angle Nest lens you'll spot misalignment immediately. Adjust through the 15-90° range until the porch path is centered, then fully tighten all set screws (PH1 driver) gently but firmly.
Do not overtighten set screws — hand-tight is sufficient. Over-tightening can crack the swivel joint.
- Tune Activity Zones: In the Google Home app, redraw activity zones to match the new angle. Side-wall installs benefit from a tighter 'porch path' zone — the wider 90° angle catches more peripheral motion (cars passing, mail truck) that Familiar Faces should exclude. On the 3rd Gen, this also tightens Gemini AI summary accuracy.
Side-wall tip: extreme 90° angles slightly increase wind load on the doorbell. The set-screw lock is rated for it, but on installs in high-wind regions (coastal, exposed corners), the bracket's wider extension at 90° puts slight pre-loaded weight on the joint — completely fine, just normal for side-wall geometry.
