15-90° Adjustable Swivel Doorbell Mount | Fits the Cove Doorbell Cam

Turn Your Cove Doorbell Cam a Full 90 Degrees

This is a 15-90° adjustable swivel mount for the Cove Doorbell Cam, the slim battery-or-wired video doorbell sold with Cove's security system. It is built for the house where the only place to put a doorbell is not facing the visitor — a perpendicular side wall, a recessed entry, a porch column, or a storm-door jamb. The mount screws to that surface and a Cove-specific adapter bracket holds the doorbell on a joint that rotates anywhere from 15° to a full 90°, so the camera looks at whoever is standing at your door instead of at the wall beside them.

Cove's included backplate is flat. On a side wall, flat means your camera watches the siding. This solves that.

Doorbell specs and pricing are on the Cove Doorbell Camera page.

Built for the Cove Doorbell Cam

  • Fits the Cove Doorbell Cam on battery or hardwired power.
  • Adapter bracket matches the Cove's screw spacing; the wire channel stays open for 24 VAC installs.
  • Replaces the Cove backplate. Hang onto the original in case you relocate the doorbell.
  • Need less than 15°? Use our 0-35° swivel instead — it sits closer to the wall.

Where a 90° Turn Actually Earns Its Keep

The Cove sees 180° across, which sounds like plenty until the doorbell is mounted on a wall that runs parallel to your walkway. Then half that 180° is pointed at brick and the visitor is at the far edge of frame, lit from behind.

Rotating the body 60° to 90° recenters the person in the shot. It also moves Cove's radar sensor so it sweeps the approach path rather than the street, which is usually what fixes constant car alerts.

Common fits: side walls on a recessed porch, the return wall next to a storm door, porch posts, and garage-entry doors where the only stud is 90° off the walkway. More on this in where to use 90° swivel mounts.

Cove-Specific Notes Before You Mount

  • Aim slightly down as well as across. The joint moves on both axes — a few degrees of downward tilt catches faces and porch packages.
  • Cove's radar is directional. Their mmWave + PIR combination works best pointed along the path people walk, which is exactly what a 90° turn buys you on a side wall.
  • Premium plan note: person, package, pet, and vehicle recognition are gated behind Cove's Premium plan. Our no-subscription doorbell guide covers the alternatives if that bothers you.
  • Hardwiring on a side wall? You may need a longer run and a healthy transformer — doorbell transformers on Amazon and 18/2 doorbell wire. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Installing Your Cove on the 15-90° Swivel Mount

  1. Gather tools: drill, PH1 and PH2 Phillips drivers, pencil, level, and anchors for masonry (Cove calls out a 15/64 inch / 6 mm bit for theirs).
Hardwired? Kill the breaker before you touch any wire.
  2. Pop the Cove off its plate with the removal pin from the box, then unscrew Cove's backplate. Keep both.
  3. Decide your aim before you drill. Hold the doorbell up at the spot and look at where the lens points. On a side wall you usually want 70-90°.
  4. Mount the base. Feed any wires through the center opening, mark the two holes, and drive the #6 screws with a PH2 driver.
Pilot-drill hardwood trim. Do not overtighten into plastic.
  5. Fit the Cove bracket to the swivel head with the four #4 screws, PH1 driver, wires pulled through first.
  6. Rotate and snug. Swing to your angle in the 15-90° range and lightly tighten the set screws.
  7. Wire the doorbell (hardwired only) and tuck the slack back into the wall.
  8. Snap the camera on — grooves on the back onto the bracket teeth, press until seated, lip over the top flap on the left.
  9. Check the app, then lock. Look at the live view, walk your approach path, fine-tune, then tighten the set screws for good.
Snug, not cranked — the set screws only need to stop movement.

Follow Cove's wiring instructions and local electrical code. Use the right driver size.

Cove 90° Mount FAQ

Will this fit the Cove Doorbell Cam?

Yes. The bracket is cut for the Cove Doorbell Cam's screw spacing and back profile, including the groove-and-teeth retention and the open center wire channel. Battery and hardwired both work.

Does it really go to a full 90 degrees?

Yes, and it starts at 15°. If you need something below 15°, our 0-35° mount is the better choice because it sits tighter to the wall.

Will turning the doorbell hurt the camera view?

No. The Cove's 180° lens stays fully usable — you are just recentering what it points at. Most people see better framing and fewer false alerts afterward.

Can I mount this on a porch post or a storm-door jamb?

Yes, that is a very common use. The 1.8 inch base fits most posts and jambs. If the surface is narrower than that, ask us about the 3/4 inch narrow base version.

Do I need to drill the doorbell?

Never. The doorbell attaches with its own retention system to our bracket. Nothing is drilled, glued, or modified on the Cove itself.

Is this a Cove product?

No. DoorbellMount.com designs and 3D prints it in the USA as an aftermarket accessory. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Cove Smart, LLC.
