How It Works: Simple & Secure Clipping Mechanism

Clipping Vinyl Siding Mount Installation
- Prepare: Unpack mount. Pull the bottom hook down slightly more than the width of one vinyl siding plank.
- Apply Tape (Optional but Recommended): Remove the protective covering from the mounting tape on the back of the bottom hook and the top hook area. (Extra tape may be included).

Insert Top Hook: Ensure the top rotating clip is open (loose). At a horizontal vinyl siding joint/seam, insert the hook at the top of the mount into the crack at approximately a 45-degree angle upwards. It should slide in. As you rotate the mount downwards to sit flat against the siding, the hook will engage.
If it doesn't fully insert, try applying slight upward pressure on the mount while it's halfway turned (about 15 degrees from horizontal) to help the hook catch the lip of the siding.

Position & Secure Top Clip: Once the top hook is engaged and the mount is rotated flat against the siding, push the top clip piece fully IN towards the siding to secure the top hook's position. Insert and tighten the small **#4 x 1/4in screw (provided)** into the top clip to lock it.
Ensure the mount is positioned where you want it before tightening this screw.
- Secure Bottom Hook: Slide the bottom hook firmly UPWARDS against the bottom lip of the same siding panel until there is a snug and secure fit.

Optional Side Screws: If desired for extra security of the bottom hook's position, insert the small screws (provided) into the pilot holes on the sides of the bottom hook assembly.
Tighten gently – these help prevent the bottom hook from sliding down.
- Mount Your Doorbell: Attach your specific video doorbell (using its custom adapter plate that came with this mount) to the front of the vinyl siding mount using the provided #4 screws.
Ensure the mount is stable and secure before attaching your doorbell. Periodically check for tightness.
