1. Choose Your Extension Range (Base Size):
Select the base size that provides the total adjustable depth you require. The length is measured from your wall/trim surface to the flat plate where your doorbell (or its adapter) will attach:

  • Small Base: Extends from 2 inches up to 3-3/4 inches
  • Medium Base: Extends from 3 inches up to 4-3/4 inches
  • Large Base: Extends from 4 inches up to 5-3/4 inches

(Each base size offers 1-3/4 inches of fine-tuned depth adjustment within its specified range using a secure locking mechanism.)

2. Choose Your End Bracket Type:
Select how you want to aim your doorbell at the end of the extension:

  • Fixed Straight End Bracket: Holds the doorbell facing straight out, perpendicular to the extension arm. This is a non-angled bracket.
  • Angle Adjustable End Bracket: Allows fixed horizontal (side-to-side) aiming of the doorbell from -45° left to +75° right relative to straight out. Angle is set and locked with screws. (This is NOT a free-swivel joint.)

This listing provides the extendable arm and your choice of end bracket (Fixed Straight or Angle Adjustable). The end bracket provides a flat mounting surface.

How your specific video doorbell model attaches to this end bracket needs consideration:

  • You may need to purchase a separate model-specific adapter plate from our store that screws onto this mount's end bracket, which then provides the correct hole pattern for your doorbell.
  • Alternatively, you might be able to attach your doorbell's own original backplate/wedge directly to this mount's end bracket. This may require you to drill your own appropriately sized pilot holes into the PETG end bracket if the existing holes do not align with your doorbell's backplate.

Please contact us BEFORE ordering if you are unsure how your specific doorbell model will attach to the end bracket you select. We can help determine if a separate adapter plate is recommended for your device.

Base Mounting: The part of this mount that attaches to your wall/trim is 3/4" Wide x 3-1/4" Long with 2-5/8" hole spacing (center-to-center). Ensure your mounting surface is at least 3/4" wide.

General Installation Outline

Detailed instructions are included. Always ensure safe practices.

  1. Tools & Prep: Gather: Drill, PH1 & PH2 Philips Bits, Level, Anchors (if needed for wall), your doorbell, and any adapter plate if purchased.
    Turn OFF power at the breaker if hardwiring!
  2. Mount Base Plate: Position the 3/4" Wide Base Plate on your trim/wall over wires. Attach securely using appropriate screws for your surface (e.g., #6 screws, use PH2) and anchors for the 2-5/8" spaced holes.
    Ensure base is level & secure. Don't overtighten base screws.
  3. Assemble & Attach Extension Arm: Assemble the extendable arm components for your chosen range (Small, Medium, or Large). Attach the assembled arm to the wall base.
  4. Attach End Bracket: Secure your chosen **End Bracket** (Fixed Straight or Angle Adjustable) to the end of the extension arm using the provided screws.
  5. Set Depth & Angle: Adjust the extension arm to the desired depth and lock it. If you chose the Angle Adjustable Bracket, set your desired horizontal angle (-45° to +75°) and tighten its set screws.
  6. Attach Doorbell (Critical Step - Read Carefully):
    • Route wires through the end bracket.
    • Option A (Using Our Adapter Plate): If you purchased a separate model-specific adapter plate from us, screw it onto the End Bracket now using small provided screws. Then, attach your doorbell to that adapter plate.
    • Option B (Using Doorbell's Own Backplate): Align your doorbell's original backplate/wedge onto the End Bracket. If holes align, secure with appropriate short screws. If holes do NOT align, you may need to carefully drill new pilot holes into the PETG End Bracket to match your doorbell's backplate.
    Verify doorbell attachment method BEFORE drilling into the End Bracket. Contact us if unsure. Use appropriate short screws; long screws can damage parts.
  7. Wire Doorbell & Finalize: Connect wires per doorbell instructions. Mount doorbell. Secure all locking screws on the extension and angle bracket (if applicable). Turn power on & test.
