What is the Ring Wired Doorbell Plus (2nd Gen, 2025)?
The Ring Wired Doorbell Plus (2nd Gen, 2025) is the successor to the original Ring Wired Doorbell Plus (which was formerly named Ring Pro). It's a mid-tier low-voltage wired Ring doorbell with the upgraded Retinal 2K sensor, released in 2025.
Are mounts from the original Ring Wired Plus compatible?
No. The 2nd Gen Plus has a different body and bracket footprint. For the original Plus (formerly Ring Pro), see the Ring Wired Doorbell Plus (original) collection.
How is the Wired Plus 2nd Gen different from the Wired entry-level 2nd Gen?
The Plus has a wider field of view, color night vision, and other premium features. It's the mid-tier wired doorbell in Ring's 2025/2026 lineup. The Wired (entry-level) 2nd Gen is the basic model and uses a different body shape. Mounts are not interchangeable.
What mount do I need for brick or stone?
Three brick options: Standard Offset (5/8" sideways, most popular), Full Offset (max clearance for storm doors), or Brick Face (centered, flush with brick).
Side wall install?
Use the 15-90° Adjustable Swivel for perpendicular installs. For minor angle correction on the same wall as your door, use the 0-35° Swivel.
Vinyl siding install?
Use the no-drill vinyl siding mount (universal fit) — pick the Ring Wired Plus 2nd Gen 2025 adapter on the product page. No drilling into siding required.
