15-90° Side-Wall Adjustable Mount for the Arlo Video Doorbell 2K (2nd Gen)

Custom-Fit for the Arlo Video Doorbell 2K (2nd Gen)

  • Custom-shaped for the Arlo Video Doorbell 2K (2nd Generation) — Amazon ASIN B0C683F516. Arlo's flagship 2024/2025 dual-power doorbell with 2K, 180° diagonal head-to-toe view (1:1 aspect), color night vision, package detection, person/vehicle recognition, ~6-month battery or 16-24V AC hardwired, direct-to-Wi-Fi (no SmartHub).
  • Also fits the Arlo Video Doorbell HD (2nd Gen): shares the same physical body as the 2K 2nd Gen — just a different sensor inside — so this same bracket fits both.
  • Does NOT fit: the older Arlo Essential Wire-Free Video Doorbell (AVD2001), the Arlo Essential Wired Video Doorbell (AVD1001 — older 1st-gen wired), or the original Arlo Audio Doorbell. Each older Arlo body has its own dedicated mount listing.
  • Confused which Arlo you have? The 2nd Gen Video Doorbell 2K box says "2nd Generation" with "2K HDR" prominently. The body has a sleek modern look with a separate clip-in faceplate. If yours is more rectangular and ships in white-only with a circular doorbell button, that's likely an Essential (AVD2001 or AVD1001) — different mount.

Side-Wall Aim, Permanent Lock

The Arlo Video Doorbell 2K (2nd Gen) is what you upgrade to from older Arlo Essentials when you want the head-to-toe 180° view AND the option to choose battery vs. wired AND package detection without buying a SmartHub. The 1:1 head-to-toe aspect ratio is genuinely useful — it shows you a visitor's full body and the package on the doorstep in the same frame.

But the wide-angle frame is only useful when it's pointed at the actual porch — not the side wall next to it. Most front doors aren't perpendicular to the visitor's approach path. This Adjustable 15-90° Side-Wall Mount rotates the entire camera body across a wide 15° to 90° arc so the head-to-toe frame and Arlo's person/vehicle/package detection all see the right zone. Locking set screws make the aim permanent — no drift after wind, rain, or 100°F summers.

Wide-Angle Pivot for Perpendicular Wall Installs

Designed for significant angle correction, this mount uses a unique bent-neck swivel joint with set-screw locks. Precise aiming control across a 15° to 90° arc relative to the wall — ideal for side-facing views (excels at angles greater than 45°). Fine-tuning is possible both horizontally (left/right) and vertically (up/down). Once the angle is set, the locking set screws hold position permanently.

15° to 90° pivot — dual-axis swivel for perpendicular-wall installs.

Note: this design is optimized for substantial side angles. If you only need a very minor (<15°) adjustment or a straight-ahead view, see our 0-35° Swivel Mount for the Arlo Video Doorbell 2K 2nd Gen instead.

Internal Wire Routing — Hidden & Protected

If you're hardwiring for trickle-charge or 24/7 recording (16-24V AC), the existing chime wires enter from the wall, pass through the hidden internal channel inside the swivel joint, route through the front Arlo adapter bracket, and connect directly to the Arlo's terminals. Battery install? Just skip the wire routing. Either way, the magnetic charging port stays accessible — pull the battery for charging without unmounting.

Mount Dimensions & Weight

  • Base Width: 1.8 inches
  • Base Height: 3.1 inches
  • Base Hole Spacing: 2-5/8 inches (center-to-center)
  • Wall Extension at 15°: ~2.0 inches
  • Wall Extension at 90°: ~3.5 inches (extends doorbell perpendicular to wall)
  • Weight: ~2 oz (PETG mount only)
  • (Note: This is the standard 1.8" base; narrow 3/4" baseplate option available — see Customization section.)

Key Features & Benefits

  • Custom Bracket for Arlo 2K 2nd Gen: Pre-shaped pocket cradles the 2nd-gen body flush — no rocking, no rattle, no obstruction of the 180° lens or speaker. Also fits the HD 2nd Gen (shared body).
  • Wide Adjustable Angle (15-90°): Significant dual-axis swivel built specifically for side-wall / perpendicular installations.
  • Wired OR Battery — Both Work: Wire pass-through for hardwired install; battery install just skips it. The magnetic charging port stays accessible.
  • Charge Without Unmounting: Designed so you can pull the battery (or plug the magnetic charging cable in) without unmounting the bracket.
  • Secure Locking Set Screws: Once you set the angle, it stays. No drift in cold snaps, no need to re-aim after Arlo firmware updates.
  • Siding Compatible: Flat surfaces or lapped siding up to 1.8 inches wide.
  • Outdoor-Rated PETG: Matches the Arlo's IP65 rating — UV-stable, freeze-tolerant.
  • Complete Kit: Adjustable base, custom Arlo 2K 2nd Gen bracket, and all necessary mounting screws.
  • Universal Base: Future-proof — switch doorbells later for a ~$10 adapter swap. Find replacement brackets here.

Installing Your 15-90° Side-Wall Mount on the Arlo Video Doorbell 2K 2nd Gen

  1. Pick Battery or Wired: Battery-only: just charge fully via Arlo's magnetic charging cable (4-6 hours from empty). Hardwired: confirm existing 16-24V AC doorbell wires (10VA min transformer; 16V AC minimum at the doorbell). Wired install keeps the battery topped up indefinitely.
  2. Tools & Prep + Power Down (If Wiring): Gather a drill, PH2 Philips (#6 base screws), PH1 Philips (#4 bracket/set/doorbell screws), wall anchors if needed, level. (For wired installs add a multimeter.)
If hardwiring: turn the breaker off first. Verify dead with a tester at the existing doorbell wires before pulling them through the mount.
  3. Plan the Aim Angle BEFORE Drilling: Stand where a visitor would stand. Visualize the angle from the doorbell location to that spot. The 1:1 head-to-toe Arlo frame is forgiving on the vertical axis but tight on the horizontal — aim the bracket so visitor faces sit at the top of the frame and the doorstep / package zone fills the bottom.
  4. Mount the Base: Position vertical or horizontal on your siding/trim, secure with #6 screws (PH2 driver). Anchors as needed if not into a stud.
Drill pilot holes if needed. Don't overtighten base screws.
  5. Attach the Swivel Bracket: Route wires through the swivel center (skip if battery), then screw the swivel onto the base with four #4 / PH1 center screws.
  6. Set Initial Angle: Adjust the swivel within 15-90° toward the visitor approach. Lightly tighten one or two set screws (#4 / PH1 driver) — final tightening comes after Live View confirmation.
  7. Connect & Mount the Arlo: Battery: just snap the doorbell on. Hardwired: connect the two transformer leads to the Arlo's terminals first. Snap the doorbell onto the bracket using the screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT (PH1 driver) — not Arlo's stock plate or wedge.
Tighten snugly, do not overtighten. Use the correct PH1 driver.
  8. Pair via Arlo Secure App: Open the Arlo Secure app (or Arlo Smart legacy), scan the QR code on the back of the doorbell, connect to 2.4 or 5GHz Wi-Fi. Set up activity zones, package detection, and motion sensitivity before final aim.
  9. Aim Using Live View & Lock: Live View → adjust the swivel until the 180° head-to-toe frame covers visitor faces at the top edge AND packages at the bottom edge → tighten all set screws gently but firmly. Set the activity zones in the app to match the new framing.
Do not overtighten set screws — hand-tight is sufficient.
  10. Confirm Arlo Secure Subscription Status: Package detection and 30-day video history require the Arlo Secure subscription past the 1-month free trial. Without it you still get live view + 2-way audio, but no recordings. Confirm before considering the install complete.

Side-wall tip: extreme 90° angles slightly increase wind load on the doorbell. The set-screw lock is rated for it, but on installs in high-wind regions (coastal, exposed corners), the bracket's wider extension at 90° puts slight pre-loaded weight on the joint — completely fine, just normal for side-wall geometry.

FAQ — Arlo Video Doorbell 2K 2nd Gen 15-90° Mount

Will this 15-90° mount fit the Arlo Video Doorbell 2K 2nd Gen?
Yes. This bracket is custom-shaped for the Arlo Video Doorbell 2K (2nd Generation), Amazon ASIN B0C683F516. The doorbell sits flush in a model-specific pocket without obstructing the 180° lens or speaker. Also fits the Arlo Video Doorbell HD (2nd Gen) since they share the same body. Will not fit the older Essential Wire-Free (AVD2001) or Essential Wired (AVD1001) — those have separate mount listings.
What's the difference between this 15-90° mount and the 0-35° mount for the Arlo 2K 2nd Gen?
The 15-90° mount uses a bent-neck dual-axis pivot for substantial side-wall corrections — best when the doorbell is mounted perpendicular to the door (on a side wall, pillar, or outside corner). The 0-35° mount is for fine-tuning aim on flat-wall installs. If you need more than 15° of correction, choose the 15-90° version.
Can I still pull the battery for charging without unmounting the bracket?
Yes. The bracket is designed so the magnetic charging port stays accessible at any angle in the 15-90° range. You can either plug the magnetic charging cable in while the doorbell is on the wall (overnight top-up) or pop the doorbell off the bracket entirely for a full 4-6 hour empty-to-full charge.
Will I lose person/vehicle/package detection if I aim the doorbell at 60-90°?
No. Arlo's AI detection runs on the camera frame, not on the orientation. As long as the 180° head-to-toe view covers the porch path and doorstep, person/vehicle/package detection works at any aim angle. Make sure to redraw the activity zones in the Arlo Secure app after install to match your new framing.
Does this work with both battery and wired installs?
Yes. The wire pass-through accommodates the hardwired 16-24V AC install (good for trickle-charge or 24/7 recording with Arlo Secure Plus); the battery install just skips the pass-through. Same mount, both modes.
Can I install this on vinyl siding, Hardie board, or stucco?
Yes. The 1.8" base sits flat on most lapped siding. For vinyl siding without drilling into the siding itself, pair this mount with our Vinyl Siding Adapter. For Hardie/fiber-cement, use our Hardie Siding Mount. For stucco, drill pilot holes and use plastic anchors rated for masonry.
Is the mount weatherproof? How long will the PETG last outdoors?
Yes. We print in UV-stabilized PETG that matches the Arlo's IP65 rating, freeze-tolerant for winter, and won't yellow or warp like cheaper plastics. Real-world installs are still going strong after 4+ years.
