  • What it Does: This service modifies the design of a standard Brick Extension Mount (which typically has an offset). We will make it:
    1. CENTERED: The doorbell extends straight forward, with no sideways offset.
    2. FACE FLUSH: The design aims to position the *front face* of your doorbell nearly level with the outer surface of your brickwork for the cleanest look.
  • MUST be purchased WITH a compatible Brick Extension Mount product in the same order. This service modifies the design of that base product before printing.
  • Accurate MEASUREMENT Required: You still need to select the correct Extension Length on the main Brick Extension product page, using the **"Face Flush" measurement method** (see guide below).
This is a SERVICE to modify a mount design, not the mount itself. Base Brick Extension Mount sold separately.

Our standard Offset Brick Extensions are great for door clearance, but sometimes a centered, straight-on view is preferred. This modification service changes the design to eliminate the sideways offset.

Furthermore, it targets a "Face Flush" placement, aiming to recess the mount slightly so the front of your doorbell aligns with the brick face, offering the most integrated and streamlined appearance possible. Perfect for homeowners seeking a minimalist aesthetic while still extending past recessed trim.

Modification Details Explained

  • Design Change: Converts standard offset brick extension base design to a **Centered (No Offset)** configuration.
  • Placement Goal: Aims for **"Face Flush"** positioning - the front surface of the doorbell sits near the plane of the outer brick face.
  • Measurement Critical: Requires accurate measurement using the "Face Flush" method (see below) to select the correct length on the base Brick Extension product.
  • Base Footprint: Uses the same wall-mounting base footprint as the selected Brick Extension product (typically 9/16" or 3/4" wide with 2.5" hole spacing).
  • Material: The modified mount will be printed in durable, weather-resistant PETG.

CRITICAL: Use THIS Measurement Method for Face Flush!

To achieve the Face Flush goal with this modification, you MUST select the extension length on the main Brick Extension product page based on the following:

  • Method 1 (Most Accurate - If you HAVE doorbell):
    1. Temporarily hold your doorbell so its **FRONT FACE is level/flush** with the outer face of the brick.
    2. Measure the distance straight back from the **surface where the mount base will attach** (your trim) to the **flat mounting surface on the BACK of your doorbell**.
    3. Select THIS measurement as the Extension Length on the Brick Extension product page when ordering with this service.
  • Method 2 (Estimate - If NO doorbell):
    1. Measure distance straight out from **trim surface** to **outer brick face**.
    2. Subtract the approximate thickness of your doorbell (e.g., ~1 inch for many models). Select this calculated length.
      (Example: Trim-to-Brick = 3", Doorbell Thickness ~1.25". Order ~1.75" Extension Length.)
      (Note: This is an estimate. Method 1 is preferred for precise flush fit.)
