Add-On Narrow Extension Baseplate for Adjustable Swivel Mounts
This is an **ADD-ON Narrow Extension Baseplate** designed to work with our standard Adjustable Swivel Mounts. It replaces the standard 1.8" wide swivel base, allowing installation on very narrow surfaces while also providing selectable forward extension.
- Purpose: Allows your Swivel Mount to be installed on slim trim (as narrow as 3/4 inch wide) AND extends it forward by a chosen distance to clear obstructions or improve view.
- Selectable Extension Length: Choose the desired length for the 3/4" wide straight extension part of this baseplate (options from 1/4" to 1-1/2").
- Adjustable Swivel Mount (Top Parts) is NOT included. Purchase this baseplate if you need to mount your existing/newly purchased Swivel Mount on narrow trim AND require additional forward extension.
Mount on 3/4" Trim AND Extend Your Swivel Mount Forward!
Dealing with very narrow door trim (3/4" wide) AND need to push your doorbell further out from the wall to clear deep siding, stone, or other obstructions? This **Narrow Swivel Base Extension** is the perfect solution!
It features an ultra-slim **3/4-inch wall footprint** for mounting on tight surfaces. You also select the **forward extension length** (1/4" to 1-1/2") for the narrow portion. After this chosen extension, a 3/8" transition flare provides a stable platform for attaching your standard Adjustable Swivel Mount base.

Extension Baseplate Specifications
- Base Wall Contact Width: 3/4 inches (Requires trim/surface width of >= 3/4").
- Selectable Straight Extension Length (3/4" Wide Part): Choose **1/4", 1/2", 1", or 1-1/2"** from the product options. This is the length from the trim to the start of the transition flare.
- Transition Flare Depth: Adds an additional **3/8 inch** depth after your selected straight extension length.
- Total Depth Added by THIS Baseplate (before Swivel): [Selected Extension Length] + 3/8 inch.
- Interface for Swivel Mount: Standard 1.8" wide platform with 2-5/8" hole spacing to accept our standard Adjustable Swivel Mount base.
- Wall Mounting Holes (on 3/4" Base): Typically 2 inches center-to-center, vertical (contact for custom).
Approximate Final Doorbell Position (Varies with Selected Length)
When this Narrow Extension Baseplate is combined with one of our standard Adjustable Swivel Mounts, the approximate total distance from the wall to the doorbell face (assuming ~1" doorbell thickness) will be:
- [Selected Extension Length] + 3/8" (Transition) + ~1.5" (Swivel @ 0°) + ~1" (Doorbell Thickness)
- Example with 1/4" Extension Selected: 0.25" + 0.375" + 1.5" + 1" = ~3.125" (3-1/8") to doorbell face.
- Example with 1" Extension Selected: 1" + 0.375" + 1.5" + 1" = ~3.875" (3-7/8") to doorbell face.

How to Install (Narrow Extension Baseplate + Your Swivel Mount)
This extension baseplate replaces the standard base of your Adjustable Swivel Mount.

Tools & Prep: Gather Swivel Mount top parts (swivel joint, doorbell adapter), this Narrow Extension Baseplate, drill, PH1 & PH2 drivers/bits, level, appropriate screws & anchors for your wall/trim (Wall screws/anchors NOT included).
Turn OFF power to doorbell wiring at the breaker!

Mount Narrow Extension Baseplate to Wall: Position the **Narrow Extension Baseplate** (with your selected length) on your >= 3/4" trim. Route wires through its center. Secure it firmly to the wall/trim using appropriate screws (e.g., #6 size, PH2 driver) through its wall mounting holes (typically 2" spaced).
Ensure the baseplate is level and securely fastened. Do not overtighten.

Attach Swivel Mount Base to Extension: Take the standard **1.8" wide base piece from your Adjustable Swivel Mount kit**. Align it onto the flared top surface of the now-mounted Narrow Extension Baseplate. Secure it using the small screws **provided with THIS Narrow Extension Baseplate** (likely #4 / PH1 driver) into the 2-5/8" spaced holes.
Do not overtighten these connecting screws into the threaded inserts.
- Continue Swivel Mount Install: Proceed with attaching the swivel bracket, your doorbell-specific adapter plate, and the doorbell itself to the now-extended swivel base, following the standard installation instructions for your Adjustable Swivel Mount.
Always follow safety rules & wiring guidelines. Selecting appropriate wall screws/anchors for the Narrow Extension Baseplate is crucial for a secure installation.
