Does NOT fit: the Lorex 2K Wired Video Doorbell (B08PPSRKML — different body with no battery compartment). Each Lorex doorbell body has its own dedicated mount listing. Also does not fit Ring, Nest, Wyze, Eufy, Aqara, Tapo, Arlo, ecobee, Reolink, or any non-Lorex brand.

Confused which Lorex you have? The Battery model has a USB-C charging port (or Lorex's proprietary charging cable port) and a removable section for accessing the battery compartment. The Wired model has only screw terminals, no charging port. Box clearly says "Wireless" or "Battery-Powered".

The Lorex 2K Battery doorbell is for households who want Lorex's no-subscription / local-storage philosophy without running new doorbell wires. The 6200mAh battery typically lasts months between charges depending on activity, and the integrated LED security-lighting strip works on battery too — actual deterrence, not just recording.

2K at 164° is wide enough to catch the doorstep AND the visitor — but only when it's pointed at the right spot. This 0-35° dual-axis swivel mount rotates the doorbell in any direction up to 35°, lets you pop the battery for charging without unmounting, and locks permanently with set screws.

Customization & Add-Ons

Installing on the Lorex 2K Battery Video Doorbell

  1. Charge First: Charge the Lorex doorbell to 100% via the included charging cable (~5-7 hours from empty). Pair to the Lorex Home app indoors before mounting — easier indoors with full signal.
  2. Optional: Plan Trickle-Charge Wiring: If you have existing 16-24V AC doorbell wires and want continuous trickle-charge, plan to route them through the swivel base. Otherwise skip — the doorbell runs fine on battery alone.
  3. Power Down (If Wiring):
    If hardwiring: turn the breaker off first. Test with a tester at the existing wires before pulling them through the mount.
  4. Mount the Base: Position vertical or horizontal on your siding/trim, secure with #6 screws (PH2 driver). Anchors as needed if not into a stud.
  5. Attach the Swivel: Route wires through (skip if battery-only), screw onto the base with four #4 / PH1 center screws.
  6. Snap the Lorex In: Battery: just snap on. Hardwired: connect transformer leads first. Use the screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT (PH1 driver) — NOT Lorex's stock back plate.
  7. Aim & Lock: Live View in the Lorex Home app → adjust the swivel until the 164° frame fully covers your porch path → tighten set screws. Set person-detection zones in the app to match.

Battery life tip: cold weather can cut Li-ion battery runtime by ~40%. If your install location sees winter below freezing, hardwiring for trickle-charge is highly recommended — the mount supports both modes interchangeably.
