0-35° Adjustable Mount for the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery)

Built for the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) — Google's first battery-powered doorbell, launched 2021. 1.3MP / 960×1280 head-to-toe video at 30 fps, 145° diagonal field of view, 3:4 portrait aspect, IR night vision, motion + person + package detection on-device (no subscription required), 6 Ah / 3.65V lithium-ion rechargeable battery, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 + 5GHz), and a smaller form factor than the original Nest Hello. Available in 4 colors (Snow, Ash, Linen, Ivy). The bracket cradles the Nest Battery body specifically (different from the Nest Doorbell Wired Gen 2 / Hello 1st Gen) and the 0-35° dual-axis ball joint aims the head-to-toe frame in any direction. Outdoor PETG, made-to-order in the USA.

Custom-Fit for the Google Nest Doorbell Battery

This bracket is shaped specifically for the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) — Amazon ASINs B09FCLPLWX (Ash), B09GZQ1MHC (Snow), B09K6XXJXX (Linen), B09HXKRZSZ (Ivy). Google's first battery video doorbell with: 1.3MP / 1/3" 960×1280 head-to-toe video sensor, 3:4 portrait aspect ratio, 145° diagonal field of view, 4× IR LEDs (850nm, ~10 ft range), motion + person + package + vehicle detection on-device (free, no Nest Aware required for these), 6 Ah / 3.65V battery (~6 months/charge), dual-band Wi-Fi 2.4/5GHz, Bluetooth Low Energy. Battery-only operation OR optional trickle-charge from existing 16-24V doorbell wires. Body: 6.3 × 1.8 × 0.95 inches.

Does NOT fit: the Google Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen 2022 - B0BBSLG6PC), Nest Doorbell Wired 3rd Gen (2025), or the original Nest Hello 1st Gen (2018) — all are different bodies with their own dedicated mount listings on our store.

Confused which Nest Doorbell you have? The Battery model has a charging port (Pogo pins on the back) + can run battery-only or trickle-charged. The Wired 2nd Gen has a slightly chunkier body with screw terminals only. The Hello 1st Gen has a longer cylindrical body. The 3rd Gen Wired (2025) has a totally different rear connector. Body dimensions on the Battery are 6.3 × 1.8 × 0.95 inches — narrower than most.

Battery + Free On-Device AI — Aim It Right

The Nest Doorbell Battery's killer move is on-device person/package/vehicle detection without a Nest Aware subscription. Most competitors lock those features behind paywalls; Google figured the AI works locally on the doorbell so they can give it away. Combined with the head-to-toe 3:4 portrait frame (face up top, package zone at bottom), it's one of the best "set and forget" battery doorbells on the market — even years after launch.

The 145° head-to-toe view is wasted if it's pointed at the wall instead of the porch. This 0-35° dual-axis swivel mount rotates the Nest Battery in any direction up to 35°, locks permanently with set screws, and keeps the rear charging port + Pogo pins accessible for periodic recharging or trickle-charge wiring.

Two-Axis Aiming, 0-35° Range

One smooth ball joint. Aim left, right, up, or down — all the way to 35° in any direction. Lock with set screws.

Battery or Trickle-Charge Wire Routing — Hidden & Protected

Run battery-only (no wires through the mount) OR optionally route 16-24V trickle-charge wires through the hidden internal channel inside the ball-joint mount, through the front adapter, and onto the doorbell's Pogo-pin charging contacts.

Mount Dimensions

  • Base Height: 3.1 inches
  • Hole Spacing: 2-5/8 inches center-to-center
  • Wall Extension at 0°: ~1.5 inches (low-profile)

What You Get

  • Custom Bracket for Nest Doorbell Battery: Pre-shaped pocket fits the 6.3"-tall Nest Battery body — flush, no rattle.
  • Dual-Axis 0-35° Swivel: Aim the 145° head-to-toe 3:4 portrait frame precisely; lock with set screws.
  • Charging Port Stays Accessible: Pogo-pin charging contacts on the back stay reachable — recharge every ~6 months without unmounting.
  • Optional Trickle-Charge Wire Pass-Through: Routes 16-24V AC wires through the joint cleanly if you want indefinite battery life.
  • Outdoor-Rated PETG: UV-stable, freeze-tolerant.
  • Universal Base: Future-proof — switch doorbells later for a ~$10 adapter swap.
  • Replaces Nest Wedge: Nest's stock mount is a fixed wedge — this 0-35° dual-axis option adds the second axis you actually need.

Customization & Add-Ons

Installing on the Nest Doorbell Battery

  1. Charge First: Charge the Nest Doorbell fully via the included USB-C cable (~5 hours from empty). First charge takes longer than subsequent ones.
  2. Pair Indoors First: Open the Google Home app, add the doorbell. Pair to dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 OR 5GHz both work — Nest Battery handles both).
  3. Decide on Trickle-Charge (Optional): If you have existing 16-24V doorbell wiring at the mount location, you can connect them to the Pogo pins for trickle-charge → indefinite battery life. Otherwise, just run battery-only.
  4. Power Down (If Trickle-Charging):
If you're trickle-charging from existing wires, turn the breaker off at the chime circuit. Verify with a tester before pulling wires through the mount.
  5. Mount the Base: Pull wires through the swivel base if trickle-charging (skip if battery-only), position vertical (Nest Battery is taller than wide for the 3:4 head-to-toe frame), secure with #6 screws (PH2 driver).
  6. Attach the Swivel: Route wires through the swivel center (or skip for battery-only), attach to the base with four #4 / PH1 center screws.
  7. Connect & Mount the Nest Battery: If trickle-charging, position wires so they touch the Pogo pins on the back of the doorbell. Snap onto the bracket using the screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT (PH1 driver) — not Nest's stock wedge.
  8. Aim & Lock: Live View in Google Home → adjust the swivel until the 145° head-to-toe frame catches face top + package zone bottom → tighten set screws.
  9. Configure Detection + Activity Zones: In Google Home: enable person/package/vehicle/animal detection (free, on-device), set Activity Zones to focus on porch + walkway. Skip Nest Aware unless you want continuous video history.

Battery tip: 6-month battery life is rated at moderate use (5-10 motion events per day). Heavy traffic doorways will see ~3 months. Cold weather (sub-32°F) drops battery life by ~30% — northern climate users often run the trickle-charge option for indefinite power. Wires route cleanly through this mount when configured that way.
