1536p HD+ Deserves a Real Mount

The new Battery Video Doorbell is Wyze's sharpest-resolution battery doorbell yet — 1536 × 1536 HD+ at 20fps daytime, with a 1:1 head-to-toe square frame that catches faces, feet, and packages. None of that pixel density helps if the camera is mounted on a wall that's offset from your front door, because half the frame ends up watching siding instead of the porch.

This 0-35° dual-axis swivel mount tilts and pans the doorbell so the head-to-toe frame actually covers the visitor zone. Because the doorbell runs 6 months between charges, you'll set the angle once with the set screws and revisit twice a year — coordinate the angle check with battery recharge.

Customization & Add-Ons

Installing on the Wyze Battery Video Doorbell

  1. Charge the Battery First: The doorbell ships partially charged — top it off via USB-C before mounting so you can verify Live View aim at install time.
    If wiring to existing chime power for trickle-charge: turn the breaker off first. The doorbell accepts 16-24V AC at the chime location; standard mechanical chimes work.
  2. Mount the Base: Pull wires through (only if wiring to chime), position the base vertically or horizontally on your siding/trim, screw in with #6 screws (PH2 driver). Anchors if not into a stud.
  3. Attach the Swivel: Route wires through the swivel center (skip if battery-only), screw onto the base with four #4 / PH1 center screws.
  4. Wire (or skip) the Doorbell: If wiring, connect the two transformer leads to the doorbell's screw terminals — polarity doesn't matter for AC. If battery-only, skip.
  5. Snap the Doorbell In: Use the screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT (PH1 driver) — not Wyze's wedge or 3M adhesive method.
  6. Aim & Lock: Open the Wyze app → Live View → tilt and pan the swivel until the 1:1 head-to-toe frame covers porch top-to-bottom → tighten set screws.
  7. Pair the Chime & Set Detection Zones: Plug the included Wyze Chime indoors near a power outlet. In the app, configure person/vehicle/package detection zones around your porch.

Battery tip: charge twice a year — once at the start of spring, once at the start of fall — and you'll never run out. Or wire to existing chime power for continuous trickle-charge if you have it.
