How to Install Your Ring Doorbell Spacer

  1. Tools & Prep: Gather: Drill (if needed for wall anchors), PH1 & PH2 Philips Bits, Level, Wall Anchors (if needed), your Ring doorbell & its faceplate/security screw/tool.
    Turn OFF power to doorbell wiring at the breaker!
  2. Position Spacer: Place the Spacer flat against your wall over the wiring, aligning its wall-mounting holes where you want the doorbell. Ensure it's level.
  3. Secure Spacer to Wall: Attach the spacer firmly to the wall using appropriate screws and anchors (NOT included - use screws suitable for your wall material) through the spacer's designated wall-mounting holes.
    Use PH2 driver likely for wall screws. Drill pilot holes/use anchors as needed. Do not overtighten.
  4. Wire Doorbell: Connect wall wires to your Ring doorbell following Ring's instructions. Carefully push excess wire back into the wall cavity or arrange neatly within the space created by the spacer. (Battery models: skip this step.)
  5. Mount Doorbell onto Spacer: Align the main BODY of your Ring doorbell over the spacer. Secure the doorbell body to the spacer using the small screws PROVIDED WITH THIS SPACER (typically #4 / PH1 driver) into the spacer's pre-drilled pilot holes.
    Use the correct PH1 driver and screws provided with THIS spacer. Do NOT use Ring's wall screws. Tighten snugly.
  6. Attach Faceplate: Snap the Ring FACEPLATE onto the doorbell body. Secure with the security screw(s) at the bottom using the tool PROVIDED BY RING.
  7. Final Check & Power On: Ensure doorbell is secure. Turn power back on and test.

Follow safety rules & Ring guidelines. Use appropriate wall anchors/screws for your wall type. Correct screwdriver size prevents stripping.
