Add-On Service: Modify Your Brick Extension for Side Wire Entry!
This is an **ADD-ON SERVICE** to modify the base of a DoorbellMount.com **Brick Extension Mount** (Centered or Offset) BEFORE it ships.
- Purpose: Adds 1/4-inch diameter "mouse holes" on **BOTH sides** of the extension base (near the wall-mounting surface) to allow doorbell wires to enter horizontally.
- MUST be purchased WITH a compatible Brick Extension Mount. This service modifies the mount you are ordering.
- This service provides an alternative path for wires if they don't come through the wall directly behind the mount.
Wires Coming Out Sideways? No Problem!
Are the low-voltage wires for your doorbell exiting your wall or trim to the side of where you need to mount your Brick Extension, instead of directly behind it? Standard mounts require wires to pass through the back.
Adding this modification service solves that! We will drill clean, 1/4-inch diameter holes on both sides of the Brick Extension base piece *before* shipping it, providing a convenient path for your side-exiting wires to enter the mount cleanly.
Modification Details
- Modification: Adds two side wire entry holes ("mouse holes").
- Hole Diameter: Approximately 1/4 inch.
- Location: One hole drilled on each side of the Brick Extension base, near the surface that contacts the wall/trim.
- Compatibility: Available for most of our **Brick Extension Mounts** (Centered/Brick Face and Offset versions).
- Function: Allows horizontal wire entry into the mount's internal wire channel.

Material Modification: This service involves physically drilling holes into the PETG base of the mount. Modification is performed based on standard placement unless custom instructions are agreed upon prior to ordering.
