Pick the right offset for your install: Use Standard Offset ($38-$120) for a small bump forward to clear a normal storm door. Use this Full Offset ($50-$140) when you need maximum projection — wide storm doors, brick edges, side-trim obstructions. Use Brick Face Extension ($30-$110) if your doorbell would be recessed BEHIND the brick face and you want it flush with the brick.

Customization & Add-On Options

Installing Your Full Offset Brick Extension on the Nest Battery / Wireless

  1. Prepare: Pop the battery out of the existing doorbell and set it aside. No wiring to disconnect on a battery install.
    The Nest Battery / Wireless can run on its built-in rechargeable battery OR be hardwired to 16-24V AC for continuous power. The mount works with either configuration.
  2. Wire Routing (Optional): Battery-only installs — skip wiring. If you’re hardwiring or using a trickle-charge cable, lead it through the rear of the brick extension to the front opening.
  3. Mount the Extension Base: Position the back of the extension over the wood trim where your old doorbell was. The base anchors with 2 provided #6 wood screws at 2.5 inch spacing using a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
    For deep projections (over 4 inches), pre-drill 1/8 inch pilot holes to prevent trim splitting. Battery doorbells are heavier than wired-only models — consider also using the optional brick face anchor screw on extensions over 3 inches.
  4. Attach the Mounting Bracket: Fasten the Nest Battery adapter bracket to the front of the extension using the 4 small #4 center screws. USE #1 Phillips PRECISION screwdriver — a regular #1 will strip the heads.
  5. Attach the Nest Wall Plate: Secure the wall plate that came WITH your Nest Doorbell onto the adapter bracket using the screws PROVIDED with this mount (NOT the long Nest wall screws).
  6. Mount the Doorbell: Slide and click the Nest Battery / Wireless body onto its wall plate. Verify the bottom battery release slot stays clear and the battery slides out cleanly.
  7. Verify: Open the Google Home app → Live View. Verify framing and redraw motion zones to match the new mounting position.
