Battery-Friendly Brick Mount for the Ring Battery 2nd Gen — Anchored for Heavier Bodies

Battery doorbells are heavier than wired-only doorbells, so for a brick install we recommend driving the optional brick anchor screw to keep the bracket rock-solid. This Standard Offset Brick Extension handles the Ring Battery 2nd Gen (2026) cleanly: 2 base screws into the wood trim, plus 1 optional brick anchor screw through the offset for batteries. Universal-fit bracket clears most storm doors and side trim. Buy with confidence — backed by our Replacement Guarantee.

The Ring Battery 2nd Gen (Amazon ASIN B0G2D1R15Q) is Ring’s refreshed entry-level battery doorbell with Retinal 2K, head-to-toe view, and a built-in (non-removable) battery. No wiring required — just charge and mount. Universal-fit bracket may leave the body slightly past the bracket edge on the door side; for a flush custom-fit, see the Full Offset version.

Important: How to Measure Before You Order

Measure the distance from the surface of your wood trim (where the bracket base will mount) straight out to the face of the brick. Use a tape measure or ruler held perpendicular to the wall.

How to measure trim to brick face for Battery 2nd Gen brick extension

Use this measurement to pick the right product:

  • Small gap (~1/2 inch or less): the Standard Offset is sufficient — this listing.
  • Medium gap: consider the Full Offset Brick Extension for more clearance past the brick face.
  • Large gap (the doorbell would sit recessed behind the brick): use the Brick Face Extension instead — that's a custom-depth product that fills the gap so the doorbell face matches the brick face.

Not sure which fits your install? Send a photo and your measurement to shop@doorbellmount.com — we’ll confirm before you order.

Compatibility — Custom-Fit for the Ring Battery Doorbell 2nd Gen (Retinal 2K)

  • This brick mount uses a universal-fit bracket designed to seat the Ring Battery Doorbell (2nd Gen, 2026) — Amazon ASIN B0G2D1R15Q. Ring’s entry-level battery doorbell with Retinal 2K, head-to-toe view, and built-in (non-removable) rechargeable battery.
  • Does NOT fit: the Battery Plus 2nd Gen, the Battery Pro 2nd Gen, the older Battery 1st Gen / 2/3/4 / Plus / Pro, the Ring Wired line, or the Ring Stick Up Cam. Each Ring model has its own dedicated brick mount on our store.
  • Not sure which Ring you have? Send a photo of the back of your doorbell to shop@doorbellmount.com or text us — we’ll confirm fit before you order.

Standard Offset — Universal Fit, Most Common Brick Install Solution

Standard Offset is the right pick for most residential installs where the Battery 2nd Gen is going next to brick. It clears: residential storm doors when the doorbell is mounted next to the door, side trim, and screen doors. The trade-off vs. Full Offset: this is a universal bracket, so depending on your doorbell’s exact dimensions, the body may sit slightly past the bracket edge on the door-facing side. If you have a thick storm door with heavy weatherstripping, or your install location is on the SIDE of a brick (where the brick edge protrudes past the doorbell), step up to the Full Offset version for a deeper, custom-fit bracket.

Brick Mount Dimensions & Material

  • Bracket Width: 9/16 inch (slim profile, fits cleanly within standard wood trim)
  • Bracket Height: Variable per model and variant — ranges from 1/4 inch up to 8 inches
  • Base Mounting: 2 holes in the base, designed to anchor in WOOD TRIM with #6 screws (#2 Phillips driver)
  • Optional Brick Anchor: 1 hole in the offset section, optional screw into brick face (1/8" masonry bit + brick anchor screw, sold separately)
  • Material: UV-stable PETG, 3D-printed in the USA, freeze-tolerant
  • Doorbell Offset: Universal fit doorbell offset — smaller doorbells may sit slightly past the bracket on the door side

Key Features & Benefits

  • Optional Brick Anchor: 1 hole in the offset for an optional brick anchor screw (recommended for Full Offset, deep Brick Face, or battery installs).
  • 9/16" Wide Slim Profile: Fits within standard wood trim profiles next to the brick.
  • Internal Wire Pass-Through: 16-24V AC doorbell wires (or PoE Cat-5e) route through the bracket cavity — no exposed wiring at the joint.
  • Complete Hardware Kit: 2× #6 base screws, 4× #4 small screws for the doorbell bracket, doorbell-mount screws (preinstalled where possible).
  • Durable PETG: UV-stable, freeze-tolerant 3D-printed PETG. Real-world brick installs at 4+ years and counting.
  • Made in the USA: 3D-printed to-order in the USA (no inventory wait, no overseas shipping).
  • Replacement Guarantee: If the part doesn’t fit your exact install, we ship the right one free. Just send a photo before or right after ordering.
  • Standard Offset: Universal-fit bracket clears storm doors, screen doors, side trim — works across multiple smaller doorbell bodies.
  • Universal Fit Across Smaller Doorbells: The same bracket fits multiple Ring/Eufy/Wyze/Blink smaller doorbells — one part, many SEO-titled listings.
  • Trim-Mount Design: 2 base holes for the wood trim around the brick — no masonry drilling required for most installs.

Customization & Add-On Options

Brick installs come in many shapes. We make a complete family of brick add-ons to handle almost any geometry:

  • Need More Clearance? See our Full Offset Brick Extension for the Ring Battery Doorbell 2nd Gen — custom-fit, clears wider trim and side-of-brick installs.
  • Want a Flush, Custom-Fit Pocket? See our model-specific Full Offset version (custom-fit doorbell offset, no overhang).
  • Angled Trim? Use our Angle Shim Set (5°, 10°, 15°) ($5) for slightly angled trim, or the Angle Shim Set (25°, 30°, 35°) ($5) for steeper trim — keeps the brick extension perpendicular to the wall regardless of trim angle.
  • Need More Outward Reach? Add a Extension Shim ($5) to push the bracket out an extra 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", or 1/2" without ordering a different size offset.
  • Gap Between Bracket and Brick? Use the Brick Side Shim & Stabilizer ($5-$7, sized 1/4" to 3/4") to fill the gap between the bracket side and the brick face for extra stability.
  • Wire Hole Far From Brick? Add a Brick Bottom Filler Spacer Plate ($5-$10, also available with built-in 5°, 10°, or 15° angles) to close the gap between bottom of bracket and brick.
  • Wire Entering From the Side? Add the Side Wire Entry / Mouse Hole ($5) to cut a bottom notch in the bracket for wires routed from below or from the side.
  • Want Color-Matched Outdoor Hardware? Upgrade your default galvanized wall screws to stainless steel #6 x 1-1/2" screws in Black or White ($3-$4, with or without #6 wall anchors). Color-matched to your trim or your bracket.
  • Wrong Distance Ordered? Existing customers can swap with a Replacement Brick Extension ($25) — reuse the same Battery 2nd Gen bracket on the new offset body.
  • Need an Adjustable Angle Too? Pair this brick mount with our 0-35° Swivel Mount for the Battery 2nd Gen or our 15-90° Swivel Mount for the Battery 2nd Gen.
  • Switching Doorbell Brands Later? Order a Replacement Bracket for the new model and reuse the same brick body.
  • Custom Color? Default ships in Black. For brick-colored prints (red, tan, gray) use the Color Change Request.

Wire Extensions & Connector Options

Brick installs sometimes require splicing the existing 16-24V doorbell wire to reach the new bracket location. We sell a complete wire extension kit with multiple connector choices — pick the one that matches your install:

  • Wire Nuts (24-16ga): Classic twist-on connectors. Cheapest option ($3 with 6" wire pair). Wire stripping required.
  • UY-K2 Press-In Connectors ($5): NO wire stripping required — press the connector with pliers and the gel-filled connector seals the splice. Faster installs.
  • Lever Lock Connectors ($5): Reusable lever-style connectors. Wire stripping required, but the spring lever clamps tightly — easy to undo if you need to redo the splice.
  • Wago Lever Premium ($6): Premium German-made lever connectors with cage-clamp tech — the gold standard for low-voltage splices. Wire stripping required.
  • Solder & Seal Connectors ($4): Best weather protection. Heat-shrink tubes with internal solder ring — one heat application bonds the wire AND weatherproofs the splice. Wire stripping required. Recommended for outdoor brick installs in wet climates.

Installing Your Brick Standard Offset on the Ring Battery Doorbell 2nd Gen

  1. Prepare the Bracket: If you have a Ring doorbell already installed, remove the cover/faceplate first. For battery doorbells: pop the battery out of the old doorbell and set the doorbell aside (no wiring to disconnect).
Battery 2nd Gen has a built-in rechargeable battery — no doorbell wiring required. Skip the wire-routing step. Optional trickle charge: route a low-voltage 5V USB cable through the center hole if you want continuous charging.
  2. Wire Routing (Optional): If you’re running a trickle-charge cable (5V USB or low-voltage AC), lead it through the center hole of the base. Pure-battery installs: skip this step entirely.
  3. Mount the Base: The base has 2 mounting holes designed to anchor in your WOOD TRIM (the trim board surrounding the brick around your door, typically a painted 1×4 or 1×6). Position the base over the trim and secure with the provided #6 screws using a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
For battery-powered Ring doorbells (heavier than wired-only), it’s recommended to also drive a screw through the offset’s optional brick-anchor hole into the brick face for extra stability. Use a 1/8" masonry bit and a brick anchor screw or sleeve anchor (sold separately).
  4. Attach the Mounting Bracket: Fasten the doorbell adapter bracket to the backplate using the four small #4 center screws (these come preinstalled in the bracket so you can see exactly where they go — just back them out, position, and reinstall). USE #1 Phillips PRECISION screwdriver for the smaller screws (#4 and smaller need a precision driver — a regular #1 is too big and will strip the screw heads).
  5. Connect the Doorbell: Battery models with no wiring — just slot the Battery 2nd Gen body onto the adapter bracket. If you’re using a trickle-charge cable, attach it before mounting.
  6. Secure the Doorbell: Mount the Ring Battery Doorbell 2nd Gen to the bracket using the screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT — preinstalled in the bracket so you can see exactly where each screw goes (or in the hardware bag if shipped loose). Use the #1 Phillips precision driver.
DO NOT USE the screws or wedge plate that came with your Ring doorbell. They’re sized for the stock Ring base plate, not our bracket.
  7. Finalize the Installation: Install/reinstall the Ring doorbell cover. Apply a small bead of clear silicone or paintable polyurethane caulk around the back perimeter where the bracket meets the trim/brick if needed (SKIP the bottom edge so any condensation can weep out). Restore power at the breaker if applicable. Open the Ring app → Live View. Verify framing and redraw motion zones to match the new mounting position.

Tools recap: #2 Phillips screwdriver (#6 base screws into trim), #1 Phillips PRECISION screwdriver (#4 adapter screws and doorbell screws), drill (optional pilot holes for hard trim), level, multimeter (wired models), clear silicone caulk. OPTIONAL only if using the brick anchor: 1/8" masonry bit + brick anchor screw or sleeve anchor.

FAQ — Ring Battery Doorbell 2nd Gen Brick Mount

Will this work with the new Ring Battery Doorbell 2nd Gen (2026)?
Yes. The universal-fit doorbell pocket is sized to seat the Ring Battery Doorbell 2nd Gen (Amazon ASIN B0G2D1R15Q). For other Ring models, see our model-specific brick mount listings.
Where do the screws actually go — into the brick or into the wood trim?
The base of the bracket has 2 mounting holes that anchor into the WOOD TRIM (the trim board surrounding the brick around your door, typically a painted 1×4 or 1×6). It does NOT install into the brick. There's also 1 OPTIONAL hole in the offset/extension section that can take a brick anchor screw for extra stability — recommended for Full Offset brackets, deep Brick Face extensions (>3 inches), and battery doorbells, but skipped on most installs.
Do I need any masonry drill bits or concrete anchors?
Not for most installs. The base mounts into wood trim using #6 wood screws (#2 Phillips driver) — no masonry tools required. Only if you use the OPTIONAL brick-anchor screw will you need a small (1/8") masonry bit + a brick anchor screw or sleeve anchor.
What screwdriver do I need for the small bracket screws?
A #1 Phillips PRECISION screwdriver. The #4 center screws that attach the doorbell adapter bracket to the backplate are too small for a regular #1 Phillips — you need a precision driver (the kind used for eyeglasses, electronics, model building). A regular #1 will be too big and strip the screw heads.
Do I lose battery life or any Ring features using this bracket?
No. The bracket is a passive 3D-printed PETG part with no electronics — it doesn’t draw power and doesn’t affect Wi-Fi signal. All Ring Battery Doorbell 2nd Gen features — Retinal 2K, head-to-toe view, motion zones, Live View — work exactly as on the stock plate. After install, redraw motion zones.
Is the bracket weatherproof? Will it crack in winter?
Yes — UV-stable PETG (not PLA), freeze-tolerant across normal North American climate ranges. Apply a small bead of clear silicone along the top and side edges if needed (skip the bottom for drainage) for full weather-tight install. Real-world brick installs are 4+ years and counting.
How is the Standard Offset different from the Full Offset?
Standard Offset is a universal-fit bracket that works across multiple smaller doorbells — cheaper at $38, but the doorbell may hang slightly past the bracket toward the door side on smaller models. Full Offset for the Battery 2nd Gen is custom-fit for that specific body, with a flush-seat pocket and a larger offset for clearing wider obstructions — $50.
Should I use the optional brick anchor screw on a battery doorbell install?
Yes — we recommend it for battery doorbells. Battery models are heavier than wired-only doorbells (battery weight + larger sensor). Driving 1 brick anchor screw through the offset section into the brick face takes 5 minutes (1/8" masonry bit + brick anchor screw) and adds significant pull-out strength. For the Battery 2nd Gen specifically, this matters because the body sits forward on the offset.
Does the Battery 2nd Gen have a removable battery for charging?
No — the Battery 2nd Gen has a built-in (non-removable) rechargeable battery. To charge, you have to unmount the doorbell. Many customers add an optional 5V USB-C trickle-charge cable through the bracket center hole for continuous charging without unmounting.
