Installing Your Full Offset Brick Extension on the Ring Battery Doorbell Plus 2nd Gen

  1. Prepare: Pop the battery out of the existing doorbell and set it aside. No wiring to disconnect.
    Battery Plus 2nd Gen uses a removable quick-release battery - slides out the bottom for charging without unmounting.
  2. Wire Routing (Optional): Battery installs - skip wiring. If using a trickle-charge cable, lead it through the rear of the extension.
  3. Mount the Extension Base: Position the back of the extension over the wood trim. The base anchors with 2 provided #6 wood screws using a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
    For deep projections (over 4 inches), pre-drill 1/8 inch pilot holes to prevent trim splitting.
  4. Attach the Mounting Bracket: Fasten the Battery Plus 2nd Gen adapter bracket to the front using the 4 small #4 center screws. USE #1 Phillips PRECISION screwdriver.
  5. Mount the Doorbell: Slot the Battery Plus 2nd Gen body onto the front face. Verify the quick-release battery slot stays clear.
  6. Secure and Finalize: Mount the doorbell using PROVIDED screws. Reinstall cover. Apply silicone caulk if needed (skip bottom for drainage). Open Ring app → Live View. Verify framing.
