Does NOT fit: the original UniFi G4 Doorbell (UVC-G4-Doorbell — 118.3 × 46.8 × 25.8mm, single cam, 155° diagonal — different body), the UniFi Doorbell Lite (UVC-Doorbell-Lite — smaller PoE-only body), or the UniFi G6 Entry / G6 Pro Entry (newer 2025 generation, different bodies). Each UniFi doorbell has its own dedicated mount listing. Also does not fit Ring, Nest, or any non-Ubiquiti brand.

G4 Pro vs. G4 Pro PoE Kit: Same physical doorbell — the "PoE Kit" SKU bundles a PoE adapter/chime in the box for users who don't have existing 16-24V doorbell wires. Either bundle uses this same mount.

Two Cameras + UniFi Protect = No Cloud Subscription — Aim It Right

The UniFi G4 Doorbell Pro is the prosumer pick for households already running UniFi gear. Two cameras (main lens for visitors, dedicated package cam at a downward angle for the welcome mat), 24/7 local recording on a UniFi NVR (UNVR, UDM Pro, Cloud Key), and zero monthly subscription. Plus the 1.8" front-facing screen lets you display messages or accept PIN codes for trusted visitors. None of the consumer brands match that on the same bell.

Mounting matters for the dual-cam advantage — the package camera needs a clean view of the doorstep without bracket interference. This 0-35° dual-axis swivel mount rotates the G4 Pro in any direction up to 35°, locks permanently with set screws, and routes the wires (or PoE Ethernet) cleanly through the joint with no obstruction of either lens.

Internal Wire Routing — Hidden & Protected

Low-voltage wires (or PoE Ethernet) enter from the wall, pass through the hidden internal channel inside the ball-joint mount, route through the front adapter, and connect directly to the doorbell terminals. No exposed wiring, no weather risk.

Customization & Add-Ons

Installing on the UniFi G4 Doorbell Pro

  1. Decide Power Method: The G4 Pro accepts EITHER existing 16-24V AC doorbell wires OR PoE (using the included PoE adapter from the PoE Kit SKU, OR your own PoE switch). PoE is the prosumer choice — better for 24/7 streaming reliability.
  2. Power Down (If Wired):
    If you're using existing 16-24V wires: turn the breaker off at the chime circuit. Verify with a tester before pulling wires through the mount. PoE installs: just unplug the PoE adapter.
  3. Adopt to UniFi Protect First: Connect the G4 Pro to your UniFi network, adopt it via the UniFi Protect app/console, configure recording schedule on your UNVR/UDM Pro/Cloud Key. Test the front touchscreen, both cameras, and chime indoors before mounting outside.
  4. Mount the Base: Pull the wires (or PoE Ethernet) through the hole in the swivel base, position vertical (G4 Pro is taller than wide), secure with #6 screws (PH2 driver). Anchors as needed.
  5. Attach the Swivel: Route the wires through the swivel center, attach to the base with four #4 / PH1 center screws.
  6. Connect & Mount the G4 Pro: Connect to the screw terminals (wired) or plug in the PoE Ethernet (PoE). Snap onto the bracket using the screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT (PH1 driver) — not Ubiquiti's stock 20° wedge plate.
  7. Aim & Lock: Live View in UniFi Protect → adjust the swivel until the 138° main camera covers the visitor zone AND the 8MP package cam catches the welcome mat → tighten the set screws.
  8. Configure Smart Detections + Notifications: In UniFi Protect: enable people/vehicle/animal detections per camera, set detection zones, configure notifications, optionally set up the front touchscreen to display custom messages or accept PIN codes.

NVR storage tip: the G4 Pro can record 24/7 to your UNVR, UDM Pro, or Cloud Key Plus. With both cameras at full resolution, expect ~150-200GB of footage per week. Provision the NVR storage accordingly — most UNVRs come with a single 4TB drive that gives you about 4-5 weeks of dual-cam G4 Pro footage.
