0-35° Adjustable Mount for the Tapo D225 (Wired or Battery, 2K+ 180° Head-to-Toe)

Built for the Tapo D225 Smart Wi-Fi Video Doorbell — TP-Link's flagship 2K+ 4MP model with 180° head-to-toe field of view, full-color night vision spotlight, and dual power (hardwired 8-24V OR built-in 10000mAh battery for up to 8 months per charge). The bracket is shaped to the D225's body without blocking the lens, spotlight, or speaker grille, and the 0-35° dual-axis ball joint aims the head-to-toe frame in two directions. Same body as the D210 and D235 — bracket is interchangeable. Outdoor PETG, made-to-order in the USA.

Custom-Fit for the Tapo D225 (Wired or Battery)

This bracket is shaped specifically for the Tapo D225 Smart Wi-Fi Video Doorbell — Amazon ASIN B0D8MKQ5RC (chime included). TP-Link's flagship 2025 dual-power doorbell with 2K+ 4MP resolution, 180° ultra-wide head-to-toe view, full-color night vision spotlight, 10000mAh built-in battery (up to 8 months per charge), wired option (8-24V AC), IP65 rating, person/vehicle/package detection (free, no subscription), two-way audio, ring-call to phone, and microSD/cloud storage.

Body-shared note: The Tapo D225 shares its body with the D210 and D235, so this bracket also fits those — but each model gets its own listing for clarity. Does NOT fit: the Tapo D130 (wired-only, different body shape) or the Tapo D230S1 (older battery + sub-G hub kit, different body). Also does not fit Ring, Nest, Wyze, Eufy, Aqara, or any non-Tapo brand.

Confused which Tapo you have? The D225 box specifically advertises 180° head-to-toe view and 8-month battery life. It has a USB-C charging port AND screw terminals on the back (dual power). If yours is wired-only, no battery, that's a D130 — different mount. If yours has a separate hub puck and removable battery, that's a D230S1 — different mount.

TP-Link's Flagship Doorbell — Aim It Right

The D225 is the model people upgrade to from cheaper Tapo doorbells. 2K+ 4MP at 180° catches the visitor head-to-toe AND the package on the doormat in one frame. The full-color night vision spotlight is bright enough to be a deterrent.

And it's the only Tapo doorbell that lets you choose: hardwire it for 24/7 continuous and never worry about battery, OR run it on the 10000mAh battery for up to 8 months and skip the wiring entirely. But that 180° lens is wasted if it's pointed at siding. This 0-35° dual-axis mount aims the camera in any direction so the head-to-toe frame catches the porch instead of the wall.

Two-Axis Aiming, 0-35° Range

One smooth ball joint. Aim left, right, up, or down — all the way to 35° in any direction. Lock the angle with set screws. Done.

Internal Wire Routing — Hidden & Protected

Low-voltage wires enter from the wall, pass through the hidden internal channel inside the ball-joint mount, route through the front adapter, and connect directly to the doorbell terminals. No exposed wiring, no weather risk.

Mount Dimensions

  • Base Width: 1.8 inches
  • Base Height: 3.1 inches

What You Get

  • Custom Bracket for Tapo D225: Pre-shaped pocket fits the D225 body — flush, no rattle. Also fits D210 and D235 (same body family).
  • Dual-Axis 0-35° Swivel: Aim the 180° head-to-toe 2K+ frame precisely; lock with set screws.
  • USB-C Charge Port Accessible: Pull-and-charge without unmounting — saves you a re-aim each time you top up the battery.
  • Wire Pass-Through (For Hardwired Mode): Routes 8-24V doorbell wires through the joint if you're using the wired option for trickle-charge or 24/7 recording.
  • Spotlight + Speaker Clear: Bracket geometry doesn't shadow the spotlight or muffle the speaker.
  • Outdoor-Rated PETG: Matches the D225's IP65 rating.
  • Siding Compatible: Flat surfaces and lapped siding up to 1.8" wide.
  • Universal Base: Future-proof — switch doorbells later for a ~$10 adapter swap.

Customization & Add-Ons

Installing on the Tapo D225

  1. Pick Battery or Wired: Battery-only: just charge via USB-C (~7 hours). Hardwired: existing 8-24V doorbell wires (10VA min transformer). Wired gives 24/7 continuous recording; battery is up to 8 months per charge.
  2. Power Down (If Wiring):
If hardwiring: turn the breaker off first. Verify dead with a tester at the existing doorbell wires before pulling them through the mount.
  3. Mount the Base: Position vertical or horizontal on your siding/trim, secure with #6 screws (PH2 driver). Anchors as needed if not into a stud.
  4. Attach the Swivel: Route wires through (skip if battery), screw onto the base with four #4 / PH1 center screws.
  5. Connect & Mount the D225: Battery: just snap on. Hardwired: connect the two transformer leads to the D225's terminals. Snap onto the bracket using the screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT (PH1 driver) — not Tapo's stock plate.
  6. Pair via Tapo App: Open the Tapo app, scan the QR code, add to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Pair the included chime. Insert microSD card before final mount if you want local storage.
  7. Aim & Lock: Live View → adjust until 180° head-to-toe frame covers visitor faces at the top edge AND packages at the bottom edge → tighten set screws.

Why both power options matter: even if you go battery, having existing doorbell wiring lets you switch to wired for trickle-charge during winter without re-mounting. The mount supports both modes interchangeably.
