Is your doorbell mounting spot recessed behind brick, stone, or thick trim? Need to bring your doorbell forward by a fixed amount for better visibility, access, or to clear an obstruction? This mount provides a sturdy, fixed 1-1/2 inch centered extension.
It installs on your existing surface and positions your selected doorbell model 1.5 inches further out, ensuring it's visible and functional. Perfect for moderate recesses where a precise, non-adjustable extension is desired.
Mount Specifications
- Fixed Extension Length: This product provides exactly 1-1/2 inches of extension (measured from wall/trim to the doorbell mounting plate).
- Doorbell Position: The *face* of your doorbell will typically sit about 1 inch further out than the extension length (approx. 2.5 inches total from the wall/trim, depending on doorbell thickness).
- Base Width: 3/4 inches (0.75")
- Base Height: 2.5 inches
- Base Hole Spacing: 2 inches (center-to-center)

Installing Your Fixed Extension Mount

Tools & Prep: Gather:
- Drill (with bits for your mounting surface).
- Screwdrivers/Bits: PH2 Philips (likely for #6 base screws - verify screw head) AND PH1 Philips (likely for smaller #4 end bracket/doorbell screws - verify screw head).
- Wall anchors (if needed), Level (optional).
Turn OFF power to doorbell wiring at the circuit breaker! -
Mount Base: Route wires through the extension base center hole. Position base on your trim/wall (using 2" hole spacing) and attach securely using appropriate screws (e.g., #6 screws - *check screw fit, not always included*) and anchors if needed.
Drill pilot holes if needed. Don't overtighten base screws.

Attach End Bracket: Route wires through the end bracket (the one specific to your selected doorbell model). Align it onto the end of the extension arm and attach using the small screws provided (likely #4 / PH1 driver).
Tighten screws snugly, do not overtighten.
- Wire Doorbell: Connect wires to your doorbell following the manufacturer's instructions. Tuck excess wire into the extension cavity.

Attach Doorbell to End Bracket:
- Align your selected doorbell model (or its plate if used) with the pre-drilled holes on the custom end bracket.
- Secure doorbell/plate using the specific screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT (likely #4 / PH1 driver).
- DO NOT USE screws that came with your doorbell for this step.
- Replace doorbell cover if applicable.
Use correct PH1 driver. Tighten gently, avoid overtightening. - Final Check & Power On: Ensure doorbell is securely mounted. Turn power back on (if applicable) and test.
Always follow safety rules & your doorbell's guidelines. Use appropriate anchors. Use the correct Philips bit size to prevent stripping.
