This is an **ADD-ON** part designed to work underneath our standard Adjustable Swivel Mounts (both 0-35° and 15-90° versions).

Purpose: Primarily designed to **cover large existing holes** (from old intercoms, oversized electrical boxes, etc.) and provide a clean, stable surface to attach your swivel mount base.

Adjustable Swivel Mount is NOT included - this listing is only for the large backplate.

How to Install (Backplate + Swivel Mount)

This backplate installs between your wall and the swivel mount base.

  1. Tools & Prep: Gather Swivel Mount parts, this Backplate, drill, PH1 & PH2 drivers/bits, level, suitable wall screws & anchors (NOT included).
    Turn OFF power to doorbell wiring at the circuit breaker!
  2. Position & Secure Backplate: Route existing wires through the center hole of this Large Backplate. Position the plate over the large hole on your wall, ensuring it's level and covers the hole adequately. Secure the backplate firmly to the wall using appropriate screws and anchors (NOT included) through its designated wall-mounting holes/slots.
    Use screws/anchors suitable for your wall material! Ensure the plate is flush and stable.
  3. Mount Swivel Base to Backplate: Route wires through the standard Swivel Mount Base piece. Align the swivel base onto the now-mounted Large Backplate using the pre-drilled 2-5/8" spaced holes. Attach the swivel base to the backplate using the small screws provided with this backplate OR your swivel mount (typically #4 screws / PH1 driver - confirm which screws to use).
    Do not overtighten screws into the backplate.
  4. Continue Swivel Mount Install: Proceed with the standard installation steps for your swivel mount (attach swivel bracket to base, set angle, wire doorbell, attach doorbell using mount-provided screws, finalize angle) as detailed in the main swivel mount instructions.

Always follow safety rules & wiring guidelines. Choosing the right wall anchors/screws for the backplate is crucial for a secure installation.
